BARKER’S ‘BIGGEST FEAR’ WAS PLANE CRASH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:41 pm

Former BLINK-182 rocker TRAVIS BARKER’s recent plane crash hell was his "biggest fear", because he has always hated flying.
The drummer and his pal Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein were the only survivors after the Learjet they were passengers on failed to clear a runway in South Carolina and burst into flames. Four passengers died in the crash last month (Sep08), including Barker’s assistant Chris Baker.
And the star, who is currently recovering in a burns unit in Los Angeles after being discharged from hospital in Georgia, is "thankful to be alive" after having to endure his worst nightmare.
He tells UsWeekly magazine, "I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash, so when that happened… well, I’m just thankful to be alive! I’m just grateful to be here at all." And Barker is desperate to make a speedy recovery, insisting he can’t wait to get back to normality.
He adds, "I am doing the best I can possibly be. I’m so anxious to get out of here… I’ve just been in surgery after surgery. I’m trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again." Barker is expected to be released from hospital in the next two weeks, according to reports. Goldstein, his fellow plane crash survivor, is now back home in Los Angeles after being hospitalised with second and third degree burns.
