JACKSON CALLS OFF ANOTHER THREE GIGS, SUFFERS FROM ‘VERTIGO’

JANET JACKSON has been forced to cancel three more concerts on her North American tour as she continues to battle a mystery illness.
The R&B superstar had to scrap a show in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday (04Oct08), just hours before she was expected onstage. And she has now pulled Sunday’s (05Oct08) gig in Atlanta, Georgia, and Monday’s (06Oct08) show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
To date, Jackson has cancelled six gigs since falling ill earlier this week (begs29Sep08), in addition to a concert in Detroit, Michigan late last month (Sep08), which was called off due to “production restraints”.
Jackson was admitted to hospital in Montreal, Canada after feeling sick shortly before she was due to perform. Jackson subsequently pulled a further two dates in Boston, Massachusetts, and Philadelphia on Wednesday (01Oct08) and Thursday (02Oct08) after failing to recover in time.
The Nasty singer’s representatives have so far refused to elaborate on details of her ailment since her hospitalisation, simply saying on Saturday (04Oct08) that it was “evident” Jackson had not yet recovered from her illness, reports TMZ.com.
However, her brother Randy has allegedly blamed her illness on “vertigo”.
According to a post on a Michael Jackson fansite, a user purporting to be the pair’s older brother Randy Jackson said: “Janet is doing okay, she suffers from vertigo.”
