Former WILL & GRACE co-stars MEGAN MULLALLY and SEAN HAYES are set to star in a spin-off of the hit comedy.
The pair will reprise their camp double-act in Karen & Jack, which is currently in development at network NBC.
According to sources, Hayes was keen on a spin-off soon after Will & Grace ended in 2006 - but was put off by the failure of Matt LeBlanc’s Friends follow-on Joey.
Plans were then derailed when Mullally landed a talk show - but that flopped, throwing the pair back together again.
The insider tells the National Enquirer, "They feel there is still a lot of life left in their characters and a lot of comic possibilities." If a pilot episode is successful, Karen & Jack could be on the air in the U.S. next autumn (09).

British royal SARAH FERGUSON has tried her hand at film making - producing a new movie about late monarch QUEEN VICTORIA.
The Duchess of York teamed up with Martin Scorsese to produce The Young Victoria, which stars Emily Blunt as the royal in her younger years.
Gosford Park Oscar winner Julian Fellowes has written the screenplay and Jean-Marc Vallee will direct.
Ferguson explains her role to the New York Post, "I wrote the two historical novels on her (Queen Victoria’s) life. Emily Blunt plays Victoria, Rupert Friend is Prince Albert, and there’s Natasha Richardson and Jim Broadbent.
They’re editing it now."

HULK HOGAN’s estranged wife LINDA BOLLEA has been fined for speeding in Florida.
Bollea was stopped by cops on Friday (3Oct08) racing to visit her son Nick at Pinellas County Jail.
According to TMZ.com, she was driving over 71 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone, and was fined $206 (GBP111).
Nick Hogan is currently serving an eight month prison sentence for his part in a car crash that left his best friend John Graziano with brain injuries.

LATEST: DANCING WITH THE STARS winner and race car driver HELIO CASTRONEVES wept in court on Friday (3Oct08) as he pleaded not guilty to seven counts of tax evasion.
The Brazilian-born IndyCar star was indicted on Thursday (2Oct08) along with his sister and lawyer, accused of failing to pay tax on his $5 million (GBP2.7million) income.
Among the charges against him, is the allegation Castroneves was paid $2 million (GBP1.08 million) by a Brazilian trading company but made it appear that he only received $200,000 (GBP108,000).
He appeared in court in Miami, Florida on Friday, in handcuffs and leg chains, and told the court, "I am not guilty. I know right from wrong and I did nothing wrong." Castroneves was released on $10 million (GBP5.4 million) bond, and paid $2 million cash and signed an $8 million (GBP4.32 million) personal surety bond to secure his release.
His sister Katiucia Castroneves and attorney Alan Miller did not enter pleas, and were released on $2 million and $250,000 (GBP235,000) bail respectively.

Hollywood star BILL MURRAY is keen to reprise his role in a third GHOSTBUSTERS movie - if the script is funny enough.
Nineteen years after Murray put down his proton pack after playing spook catcher Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters 2 - a new screenplay is being written.
According to reports, studio bosses want to team original stars Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson with a new batch of Ghostbusters, to be played by Seth Rogen, Steve Carell and Paul Rudd.
Murray insists he hasn’t been approached - but he is open to the idea of playing Venkman again.
He tells OK! magazine, "There are two fellas writing a script, but I have yet to see it, but it’s possible. It’s a great idea.
"It’s all about the script. It’s not like I have any obligation to the franchise or anyone. If the script were good and I thought we could do it, it would be fun. It’s only now that this has ever been a prospect. No one’s talked about it for a long time." But the star admits he is warned off by his "unsatisfying" experience on Ghostbusters II. He adds, "The first one, to me, was the real thing. The sequel… there was an idea pitched. They got us all together and we laughed for a couple hours. When I arrived on the set, they had written a whole different movie than the one. The special effects guys got their hands on it, and it’s just not the same movie. There were a few great scenes in it, but it wasn’t the same movie."

SQUEEZE star CHRIS DIFFORD has penned an ode to his weight struggles on his new album THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIS.
The Cool For Cats singer/songwriter admits it’s getting harder and harder for him to stay in shape as he gets older - and he thought he’d share his pain with fans in the song Fat As A Fiddle.
He came up with the title and the lyrics during a very depressing experience at his local gym.
He tells WENN, "The gym is a very depressing neighbourhood to be in; I find it quite a struggle. It was written when I was in the gym and I was sitting on an exercise bike and a guy sitting next to me on a bike was twice my size.
"I said to him, ‘How long you been coming to the gym?’ and he said, ‘Four years.’ I just thought, ‘There’s no hope and went for a pizza straight away!’ "Being thin has always been a battle for me. I always thought it was important to look good and I work out on stage when we’re on tour… but I can eat cake with the best of them."

NOEL GALLAGHER dreams of taking to the stage with pal RYAN ADAMS for a version of OASIS anthem WONDERWALL - because the rocker is the only person who can "nail" the song.
Gallagher admits his brother and Oasis frontman Liam can no longer hit the high notes of the song like he used to 10 years ago - and now he’d like the band’s touring partner Adams to step up to the mic and belt out the tune.
He says, "I hate him (Liam) singing it. Liam doesn’t sound like he did 10 years ago. Your voice and body change. We’ve never got it (song) right.
"I think Ryan Adams is the only person who ever got that song right. I’d love to do the Ryan Adams version, but, in front of 60,000 Oasis fans, that wouldn’t be possible."

Masked SLIPKNOT star COREY TAYLOR has mixed emotions about performing at his first Ozzfest in 1999 - because he had to eat his own vomit.
The energetic frontman was often so dehydrated and hot behind his mask during performances, he’d throw up and have to spend the rest of the set trying to sing through sick.
He tells Revolver magazine, "It was so hot and I was raging so hard that I threw up in my mask and had to eat the puke because there was nowhere to spit it (out).
"I broke my mouth so many f**king times just coming up too hard on the mic.
I’d go from swallowing blood to puking and having to swallow that."

METALLICA frontman JAMES HETFIELD has apologised to the band’s fans for releasing so few albums throughout their career.
The rock legends have been active for more than a quarter of a century, but have just eight albums to their name - a ninth is forthcoming.
Hetfield tells MetalHammer.co.uk, "We’re slow. Metallica’s clock is very slow. It’s unbelievable. Most bands hit their 9th album after 12 or 13 years.
We’ve been together for 26, 27 years."
