COMBS LAUNCHES NEW SHOW TO FIND MUSIC SUPERSTAR
Rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS is launching a new reality TV show in a bid to find the next big star.
The Bad Boy Records boss has already enjoyed success with his MTV Making The Band series, which has spawned groups like Danity Kane and Day26.
But now Combs wants to find a solo superstar - and he’s teamed up with producer Mark Burnett, the brains behind The Apprentice and Survivor, for StarMaker.
The programme, which began development last year (07), has been given the go-ahead by MTV and will debut on the network in January 2009.
