SANZ WINS COURT BATTLE WITH NEWSPAPER OVER GAY STORY
Spanish singer ALEJANDRO SANZ has won a court settlement against El Mundo newspaper over claims he was involved in a gay romance.
Sanz sued the Spanish newspapers editors over the story, which falsely linked him to a fashion designer, and he has been awarded almost $44,000 (£23,800) in damages.
A judge held the newspaper and Carmen Rigalt - the journalist behind the story - liable for defaming the star.
