WINEHOUSE TO BE QUIZZED OVER ALLEGED ATTACK

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:51 pm

Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE is facing police questioning after allegedly assaulting a female dancer at a London event on Thursday (25Sep08) night.
The Rehab star, 25, is accused of punching Sherene Flash in the face at the Prince’s Trust End of Summer Ball bash, where Winehouse gave a shambolic performance of her hits.
Police were called to the $1,295 (£700)-a-ticket ball to investigate the incident, but Winehouse had fled the scene before she could be questioned.
Cops took a statement from Flash, and are expected to speak to Winehouse this weekend (27-28Sep08), where she could be taken into custody.
According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, Winehouse is alleged to have attacked Flash after she asked to have a photo taken with the star.
A source says, "Sherene asked Amy if she could take a photo. Amy was OK at first, but when Sherene asked if a friend could get in the shot, Amy lashed out." Another insider adds, "She was getting distressed. There was a lot of grabbing and flashbulbs were going off. She was startled." A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police has issued a statement about the incident, saying: "We were called at around 12.30am after a report of an alleged incident where a woman assaulted another woman.
"The alleged assailant left the scene. There are no arrests at this time." Winehouse sparked fresh fears for her health after taking to the stage at the End of Summer Ball looking frail and intoxicated.
At one point, she dragged her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, 12 - who had entertained the crowd with a string of Motown hits earlier in the evening - off the stage as tears streamed down her face.
And the drama only escalated as Winehouse left the charity event - her bodyguard is also reported to have hit the night’s official photographer with his car as they tried to make their exit. Police are also said to be investigating that incident after receiving a complaint.

ALLEN BLASTED OVER GUN NECKLACE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:51 pm

LILY ALLEN has been condemned for glamorising guns by wearing a necklace with a machine gun pendant.
The Smile hitmaker - who previously met with London mayor Boris Johnson to outline proposals to reduce knife crime - was photographed wearing the gold pendant on Friday (26Sep08).
But the choice of jewellery has outraged anti-violence groups, who have branded Allen "irresponsible".
Lyn Costello, from anti-violence group MAMAA, says: "She is glamorising the use of guns. It’s totally irresponsible.
"She’s a role model and people look up to her. The last thing we want is people looking at her and thinking guns are fashionable.
"I’m really disappointed in her. She had a meeting with the Mayor saying she’s worried about knife crime but is she not worried about gun crime too.
"If she’s really worried about violent crime then she shouldn’t wear a necklace that promotes guns."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:51 pm

And she has now been charged $92,500 (£50,000) for every 15 minutes she overstayed her welcome.
A Wembley Stadium source says, "The concert was meant to start at 8.30pm but Madonna didn’t come on stage until 9.10pm. The gig ended at 11.10pm so she was quite a bit over.
"Her people knew about the possible implications for going over the curfew but this is a pretty hefty fine, even for Madonna."

CAMERON: ‘I CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT PITT & JOLIE ARE GOING THROUGH’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:48 pm

Actor KIRK CAMERON can appreciate what BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE go through daily as parents - he has 10 kids.
The former Growing Pains star has six natural kids and four adopted - and he understands the Pitt-Jolies when they confess they can’t see a difference between the three kids born to them and their three adopted siblings.
Cameron says, "You forget who’s adopted and who is not. The kids are 11, 10, nine, eight, seven and five-and-a-half. We feel like the Brady Bunch. There’s never a dull moment.
"Everybody’s got a friend at the house. For birthday parties you don’t have to invite anybody else because everybody is there. It can be a bit harrowing at times because we don’t have a nanny, so it is a commitment for my wife and I to raise these kids properly.
"But family is our highest priority. My wife even teaches classes at my kids’ school on being a mom and being a wife."

The Frasier star already struggles to deal with the daily interest from the world’s media following his heart attack in June (08).
And Grammer fears he would attract more attention if he became a politician.
He says, "I have (thought about running for office) but my devotion to my family, my wife and to their privacy has over-ruled that desire. My privacy isn’t an issue but it’s become a very mean world. The internet has not made the world a better place, it’s made it a meaner place."

SPEARS USED ARGUMENT TO GET TROUBLED DAUGHTER’S ATTENTION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:36 am

BRITNEY SPEARS’ mum LYNNE has revealed she and her estranged husband JAMIE used an argument between her daughter and then-manager SAM LUTFI to "start taking charge" of their troubled daughter’s affairs.
Spears claims Lutfi had shut her out of Britney’s life, but the singer’s parents knew it was time to take action when it appeared she was heading towards a nervous breakdown.
She explains, "We had police calling us telling us things that were going on.
That’s when we said, ‘We’ve got to do something, we prayed about it.’ "We had been trying to get in; we couldn’t… When she had an argument with that individual, who I just don’t even want to talk about, that was the opening and we took advantage of it, we got in and that’s when we were able to start taking charge." Speaking out on American Idol host Ryan Seacrest’s Los Angeles radio show, Spears confirmed Lufti was the "individual" she was referring to.
Shortly after Lynne and Jamie took charge of their daughter’s personal and professional affairs at the beginning of 2008, Jamie was made a co-conservator of the pop star’s estate and the couple was granted a restraining order against Lutfi.
