Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 pm

Twice-married Moore, 47, says, "I was in an interview, and a journalist said, ‘You’ve been married three times.’ And I said, ‘No.’ She said, ‘It’s on the internet,’ so I checked it out.
"There’s a person online who claims to have been married to me from 1983 to 1985. His name is Sundar Chakravarthy. I’ve never heard of him." Moore’s real husbands are John Gould Rubin, who she divorced in 1995, and her current spouse Bart Freundlich.

CRITICS LAUD RADCLIFFE ON BROADWAY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 pm

DANIEL RADCLIFFE is the toast of Broadway after wowing New York’s theatre critics with his opening night performance in EQUUS.
The Harry Potter star took to Manhattan’s Broadhust Theater on Thursday (25Sep08) to play Alan Strang, a 17-year-old schoolboy who is obsessed with horses, in Peter Schaffer’s play.
Any nerves the 19-year-old had before making his New York stage debut, will be eased by a string of glowing reviews from the city’s tough theatrical press.
New York Times’ Ben Brantley wrote on Friday (25Sep08), "Daniel Radcliffe steps into a mothball-preserved, off-the-rack part and wears it like a tailor’s delight - that is, a natural fit that allows room to stretch." New York Post reviewer Clive Barnes adds his own praise: "His acting, beautifully understated and withdrawn, has just the right manner for this horribly mixed-up adolescent." And The New York Daily News’ Joe Dziemianowicz leads his review with the line, "Let’s get right to it - Daniel Radcliffe , the marquee man-boy and the reason Equus has trotted back to Broadway. Yes, he’s terrific and gives a passionate performance."

MONROE PHOTOGRAOHER SUES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 pm

A photogapher who captured MARILYN MONROE nude is suing two men he claims stole some of the saucy snaps.
Bert Stern took the famous Last Sitting series of photos of Monroe, just six weeks before she died from a drug overdose in 1962.
The pictures were recently recreated by Stern using Lindsay Lohan in Monroe’s place.
Stern claims seven of the famous photographs, showing the tragic star posing naked behind a transparent white gauze, weren’t returned by editors of the now-defunct magazine Eros, when he loaned them more than 40 years ago.
He has filed a lawsuit in New York, against Michael Weiss and Donald Penny, claiming the snaps are in their possession, and alleging the two men have attempted to sell them back to him.
Stern claims the photos are worth $100,000 (£54,000) each, and is suing for $700,000 (£378,000) and $1 million (£540,000) in punitive damages and legal fees.

DRAMA AT SIMPSON TRIAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:24 pm

O.J. SIMPSON’s robbery and kidnapping trial descended into chaos on Thursday (25Sep08) when an alleged victim dismissed a main piece of evidence, and stated he did not want to press charges against the former American footballer.
Alfred Beardsley is one of two memorabilia collectors Simpson and a group of other men are accused of robbing in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2007.
But when called to give evidence against the 61-year-old on Thursday, Beardsley told the Las Vegas court, "I do not want to be here, I’ve made that clear for the past year. I have been going round and round the past year trying to get my name off of that complaint." And when asked to authenticate a tape recording of the alleged heist, Beardsley accused Simpson’s former friend Thomas Riccio - who handed the tape to the police - of editing it to remove chunks of dialogue.
Beardsley - currently serving a prison sentence for domestic violence - told the court, "I’m not authenticating it, considering the source. I can’t authenticate it." He did testify that Simpson and five men burst into his room at the Palace Station Hotel, when he was expecting to meet a wealthy buyer. He also confirmed two of the men were armed.
In his defence, Simpson claims he was retrieving stolen memorabilia and did not know the two men had guns.
He is facing twelve robbery and kidnapping charges and faces a life sentence if convicted. The trial continues.

"I asked Sony, ‘Were you planning to sell three million copies in London?’ I don’t think so. I sold three million copies overnight and got paid. That’s a good, clear business deal."

MY BLOODY VALENTINE TO FINISH THIRD ALBUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:24 pm

MY BLOODY VALENTINE frontman KEVIN SHIELDS has begun work on the band’s first album in 17 years - using songs he discarded 12 years ago.
Shields scrapped plans for the group’s third LP and the band split in 1997 when Island records grew tired of waiting for new material and dropped them from its roster.
The cult Irish band reformed for a series of sell-out gigs earlier this year (08). Their success has now prompted Shields to dig out the material he cast aside a decade a go, and finish the album where he left off.
He says, "I realised that all that stuff I was doing in 1996 and 1997 was a lot better than I thought."

DUPRI: ‘BARKER TO BE DISCHARGED IN TWO WEEKS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:21 pm

Music producer JERMAINE DUPRI predicts his friend TRAVIS BARKER will be released from hospital in two weeks.
The former Blink-182 drummer and pal Adam ‘DJ Am’ Goldstein were the only survivors after the Learjet they were passengers on failed to clear the runway in South Carolina last week (19Sep08) and burst into flames.
Four passengers died in the crash, including Barker’s assistant Chris Baker.
Both men were both hospitalised in a burns unit in Augusta, Georgia, but Goldstein was discharged on Saturday (20Sep08) and returned to Los Angeles.
And Dupri expects his friend will also be able to go home soon.
He tells People, "He’s doing good, he’s gonna be all right. He’s just got a lot of healing to do.
"He’s supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he’s feeling better. He’s definitely feeling the love from everyone.
"He’s just now getting everything in the hospital set up for him - iPods, computers, everything that he needs. You got to make sure he is comfortable." Dupri - Barker’s partner in the So So Def clothing line - also recalls the moment he learned of the crash.
He adds, "I was at home, somebody called me early in the morning. "It was kind of crazy and I didn’t really comprehend what had happened."

RHYMES ALLOWED TO PERFORM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:21 pm

LATEST: Rapper BUSTA RHYMES has won his High Court battle to perform at a charity concert in London.
The star was detained at the British capital’s City Airport on Thursday (25Sep08) over "unresolved convictions" in the U.S.
A judge subsequently ruled that Rhymes should be allowed into the country but refused to grant permission to perform at the Orange RockCorps at the city’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday (26Sep08) night.
Rhymes took his case to the High Court on Friday afternoon and was granted a last-minute reprieve - allowing his appearance at the gig to go ahead.
The Judge emphasised the extraordinary nature of the case, and told the court he was acting so as not to disappoint the thousands of fans who were heading to the concert.
The 36-year-old’s detention is thought to relate to previous convictions for drink driving and assault. Oddly, there was no drama when Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith, visited the U.K. just a month ago (Aug08).
