Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE has sworn off lesbian relationships - insisting a girl-on-girl fling in her youth made her realise she is not gay.
The 35-year-old dancer admits that she dabbled with same-sex dating in her twenties, but the affair only served to reinforce her hetrosexuality.
And she is adamant that she won’t get involved with a woman ever again because she prefers being with men.
She says, "That was for a real brief period of my life, it was really like a month. It wasn’t a big long relationship. I realised quickly that I really prefer men. That was an experimental stage in my early twenties.
"I just know that I really love men and the way I feel with a man."

Mexican actor GAEL GARCIA BERNAL has spoken about the rise in violence in his native country, blaming the recent killings for ruining his childhood memories.
The star expressed his horror and sadness after learning 3,000 people had died in gangland-style killings in Mexico so far this year (08).
Last week (ends19Sep08), eight people were killed in a bomb attack.
And the rising number of deaths is worrying Bernal.
He says, "It’s painful to not be nearby. Instead of feeling relieved to be outside, I feel sad and vulnerable.
"I’m far from where I was born, trying not to wait for the daily death toll." He adds, "Why, on seeing so much violence, do I feel as if the aggression was against my memories or my identity? Each death seems to steal freedom from my memory."

The young actress who plays DAVID DUCHOVNY’s daughter on hit U.S. TV show CALIFORNICATION is convinced he will "overcome" his stint in rehab for sex addiction.
The 48-year-old actor checked himself into rehab last month (Aug08) in a bid to control his sexual urges. Ironically, Duchovny portrays a sex-loving author in the raunchy cable show.
But 15-year-old actress Madeleine Martin is adamant he will bounce back from his hiatus, with the help of his actress wife, Tea Leoni.
Martin tells the New York Daily News, "I know all families have problems it’s how you deal with those problems that matters. You don’t love the mistakes, you just love the person, and David has a strong family. I’m sure he’ll overcome it." Earlier this month (Sep08), bosses at the series’ TV network Showtime confirmed all 12 episodes for the second season were filmed and due to debut on schedule later in the month (08).
At the time, a spokesperson said plans for the third season "have yet to be decided".

Filmmaker OLIVER STONE has branded U.S. president GEORGE W. BUSH a "bully" for his treatment of journalists at press conferences.
The director, whose biopic of the American leader W is due for release in November (08), insists the president is "impatient" during question-and-answer sessions with reporters.
And he is adamant that by giving certain journalists nicknames, the leader reveals an intimidating nature.
Stone tells USA Today newspaper, "Ever notice how impatient Bush is at press conferences with questions, like, ‘What right do you have to ask me a question?’. I would say he’s a bully. It’s classic bully syndrome. The nicknames, for instance, are bullying.” But the filmmaker also discovered a more friendly side to the U.S. president while he was researching the upcoming movie - and insists he tried to remain impartial during shooting.
He adds: "Faith, family and friendship. You could argue he is a good born-again Christian. He has been good with his family. There’s a scene where he goes to the hospital and talks to the soldiers, and we honestly looked at the stuff he said and did. We never went after him."

Comedian JEFFREY ROSS has become the first celebrity to be ejected from U.S. TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS.
The star scored 14 out of 30 from the judges - the lowest of the night - for his cha cha cha routine.
Ross suffered a scratch to his cornea after his professional partner, Edyta Sliwinska, accidentally poked him in the eye during a rehearsal on Monday (22Sep08), and he was forced to wear an eye patch for his performance on Tuesday night (23Sep08).
But Ross is remaining upbeat about his loss.
Speaking after the results were announced, he said, "I’m more ha ha ha than cha cha cha."

U.S. TV host PAT O’BRIEN has reportedly checked into rehab for the second time this year (08) in a bid to kick his alcohol addictions.
According to PerezHilton.com, the 60-year-old is seeking help at an undisclosed location, just days after he was fired as co-presenter of celebrity news show The Insider last week (ends19Sep08).
If the reports are true, it will be O’Brien’s third attempt at rehab - he previously sought treatment in March 2005, and again earlier this year (Feb08).
A representative for O’Brien could not be reached for comment as WENN went to press.

LATEST: Moviemaker TIM BURTON’s long-running dispute with ex-girlfriend LISA MARIE has been thrown out of court.
Lisa Marie sued the director claiming he owed her money he had promised her during their relationship.
The pair dated for nearly a decade and the director included her in several of his projects before they split in 2001.
Officials at the California Court of Appeal dismissed the palimony lawsuit in August (08), and now Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon has ruled in Burton’s favour.
During a hearing on 16 September (08), Sanchez-Gordon stated that Lisa Marie did not present a valid case.
Burton has been dating British actress Helena Bonham Carter since 2001. They have two children.

O.J. SIMPSON faces a court grilling over his finances during his trial for an alleged hotel heist, after the judge allowed prosecutors to bring the GOLDMAN family’s lawyer to the stand.
The former American football star is charged with kidnapping and armed robbery charges relating to a September 2007 encounter with sports memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley.
Simpson, 61, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He maintains he and five associates entered Fromong’s Las Vegas hotel room to recover stolen goods that belonged to the former sports star.
Prosecutors at Clark County Court in Nevada claim Simpson set up the alleged robbery in Sin City in the hope that California authorities would not find out about it, so he could benefit from the proceeds.
And they have been granted permission by Judge Jackie Glass to bring attorney David Cook - who represents Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman - to testify against Simpson.
The Naked Gun star was acquitted of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her pal Ron Goldman by a Los Angeles jury in 1995.
He was later found liable for the pair’s deaths by a civil panel and was ordered to pay the Goldman family more than $38 million (£20.5 million) in compensation - $33 million (£17.8 million) of which he still owes.
Prosecutors hope to prove that Simpson has a history of lying about his money to prevent Fred Goldman from getting the settlement.
District Attorney David Roger told the judge on Tuesday (23Sep08): "It (Cook’s testimony) establishes his (Simpson’s) motive, his common scheme of plan and his intent." But Simpson’s lawyers are adamant Cook’s evidence will only remind the jury that the former sports star was once tried for murder, reports the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix.
Attorney Yale Galanter says, "We think the only value is for the prejudicial effect. He (Cook) could say something that could cause a mistrial." The trial continues.

Actress TATUM O’NEAL’s brother GRIFFIN has distanced himself from his "screwed up family" in a bid to overcome his battle with drug addiction.
Griffin O’Neal spoke out following the arrests of his father Ryan and younger brother Redmond earlier this month (Sep08).
Redmond was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine, while a vial of the drug was found in Ryan O’Neal’s bedroom at his Los Angeles home.
And Griffin - who battled drug addiction before getting clean in 2006 admits he isn’t surprised by the arrests.
He tells People.com, "It’s a very screwed-up family. If you want to be emotionally healthy and strong, you’ve got to get out. It’s a truly sad situation." Ryan O’Neal’s lawyer declined to respond to Griffin’s comments, but is confident his client "will be fully vindicated of the drug charges".

LATEST: Rapper BUSTA RHYMES bears no animosity towards his former record label boss DR. DRE, insisting they will "always be good".
The Touch It hitmaker - real name Trevor Smith - announced he was walking away from his Aftermath/Interscope Records contract last week (ends19Sep08), in favour of Universal Motown records.
Rhymes signed to Dre’s Aftermath label in 2004, but four years on, his album Blessed had still yet to be released.
The label split is rumoured to have been the result of a dispute between the star and Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine over the constant album delays.
But during a New York radio interview this week (22Sep08), Rhymes claimed he and Dre will remain close, despite the label mess.
He told Hot 97’s DJ Envy, "Me and Dre are still good. So even though I’m not in business with Aftermath or Interscope, I’m still with Aftermath. Me and Dre are always gonna be good." And Rhymes took the opportunity to poke fun at his old label executives for providing him with the singles We Made It and Don’t Touch Me (Throw Da Water On ‘Em).
He added: "Big up to Interscope for, you know, giving me the leaked joints and the set-ups. Now we gonna consider those the leaked joints." Rhymes will now release his highly-anticipated new album on Universal, and has changed the title to B.O.M.B. (Back On My Bulls**t).

AMERICAN IDOL star CLAY AIKEN has confessed his mother still struggles to come to terms with his sexuality.
The singer finally revealed he was homosexual in the new issue of America’s People magazine, as part of a photospread featuring him and his new baby son Parker, who was born in August (08). The baby’s mother - Aiken’s friend and record producer Jaymes Foster - conceived through artificial insemination and they plan to raise the child together.
And Aiken admits his sexuality has been difficult for his mother, Faye, to deal with.
He tells the magazine, "She still struggles with things quite a bit, but she’s come a long way." Aiken recalls the moment he told his mother the truth about his sexuality four years ago.
He says, "I started crying in the car. It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don’t know why I started thinking about it… I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out.
"She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting." And Aiken says son Parker will be raised in an environment that is "accepting and allowing him to be happy".
He adds, "I have no idea if he’ll be gay or straight. It’s not something I’ll have anything to do with, or that he’ll have anything to do with. It’s already probably up inside the code there… No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing."

LATEST: Rapper T.I. has been ordered to increase child support payments to his ex-girlfriend to provide for their two young sons.
The Whatever You Like hitmaker, 27, was taken to court by LaShon Dixon, the mother of his seven and eight year old boys.
She claimed the monthly installments of $2,000 (£1,080) she receives from the star - real name Clifford Harris - was inadequate to raise the children. Dixon filed her lawsuit in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court earlier this month (Sep08).
And during a court hearing on Tuesday (23Sep08), Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane ruled T.I. must pay an extra $1,000 (£540) to Dixon, bringing her total monthly allowance to $3,000 (£1,620).
T.I. had previously insisted he had never failed to provide for his children, and that he has always paid his sons’ school fees and given them additional cash for other needs.
Judge Lane noted this, and told T.I. he must continue to pay for their education and medical bills, as well as other expenses related to the children’s extracurricular activities.
Lane also awarded the former couple joint custody of the boys, with Dixon having primary physical custody.
But Dixon is still unhappy with the amount of child support their mother is receiving.
Her attorney, Randy Kessler, says, "Every bit helps. She was just getting by with the children, while they lived a different life with their father. It can’t be complete opposites on the other side." T.I. is a father to three other children from different relationships, including the two young sons he shares with longtime girlfriend Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, formerly of R&B group Xscape.

BRITNEY SPEARS is back to her snake-charming ways in the music video for her comeback song WOMANIZER.
The Toxic star, who famously performed her hit I’m A Slave 4 U with an albino python at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, uses another slithering snake in the video for her new track.
The promo sees the pop superstar in dominatrix gear, brandishing a whip to overpower a topless hunk who is restricted by the huge yellow reptile.
But fans will have to wait longer than predicted to see the sexy film, after Spears’ record label put the track’s release date back because the song needs more work.
The tune, featured on the star’s upcoming new album Circus, was slated for release earlier this week (begs22Sep08), but won’t be out until at least the end of the month (Sep08).

LINDSAY LOHAN has defended her girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON once again after her estranged father MICHAEL branded the DJ "dark, hideous" and "disgusting".
The father and daughter haven’t spoken since Michael Lohan publicly disapproved of the Mean Girls star’s relationship with Ronson, telling reporters the DJ was using the actress to increase her own profile.
Now, he has once again lashed out at Ronson, claiming her lifestyle and dress sense should put his daughter off pursuing their romance any further.
In a bitter email to X17online, Michael writes, "I don’t believe that the recent blogs posted by ‘Lindsay’ were written by her. There is a lot more to Samantha than meets the eye. Not that what we see is so pleasing anyway…

KELLY OSBOURNE has been blamed for a scathing review of her model boyfriend LUKE WORRALL, after he showed up late to a string of shows during New York’s Fashion Week.
Worrall was criticised in a recent article on fashion website Style.com for consistently disappointing designers and arriving late for shows.
But according to the New York Post’s PageSix, Osbourne’s own costume changes should be blamed for keeping the hordes of fashionistas waiting at the events earlier this month (08).
A source tells the newspaper: "It’s true that Luke’s been tardy to every show. But it’s because his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne, insists they go everywhere together. She’s late because she wants to change her outfit after every show, to get more photo ops in."

Actress SHANNEN DOHERTY has hit out at reports she battled an alcohol addiction.
Doherty shot down allegations in several U.S tabloids that she sought help from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) following her arrest for drink-driving in 2000.
But the star admits she did help her husband overcome his drink demons.
She tells Usmagazine.com, "They said that I was so, quote, ’scared of the drink’ that I was sleeping on my sponsor’s couch.
"Now, I’ve never been in AA. I accompanied my husband to AA meetings actually, I forced him to go to one - but I’ve never actually gone for myself.
"Sometimes you can find some truth, a little nugget somewhere, but not one thing about this was true."

Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE has no regrets over her failed marriage to shock rocker MARILYN MANSON - insisting she still hopes to walk down the aisle again.
The 35-year-old dancer divorced Manson in 2007 after two years of wedlock, citing irreconcilable differences.
But Von Teese insists that the experience hasn’t put her off marriage - and she is still looking for a longterm partner.
She says, "I have never been opposed to marriage. My faith in marriage hasn’t changed.
"I don’t regret ever (having) been married. I was a good faithful wife. I quite enjoyed it. I am hoping the next time I find someone who has the same ideas about marriage that I have." And Von Teese admits that she is enjoying life as a single woman.
She adds, "I am dating lots but I am ’single and dating’. I am holding on to that single status as long as I can."

Filmmaker OLIVER STONE insists his biopic of GEORGE W. BUSH is not a "hatchet job" - and he wants viewers to see both sides of the U.S. president.
The director’s upcoming movie W is widely expected to show the president in a negative light because Stone has made no secret of his dislike of the current American administration.
But he is adamant the flick is a "fair" portrait of the outgoing president and admits he put his own beliefs to one side when making it.
Stone tells USA Today newspaper, "(I) tried to stay human to this man. It’s supposed to be a fair and true portrait. People get me confused with my outspoken citizen side but I’m a dramatist first and foremost.
"With (1995 movie) Nixon, they said it would be a hatchet job and you know damn well it was not. It was an empathetic portrait. It’s the same thing, the same rules apply. It’s hard for some people to understand that. But I am very professional about this.
"I am not interested in that radical 15 per cent that hate Bush or the 15 or 20 per cent who love Bush. That’s not our audience. Those people probably won’t come. I’m interested in that 60 per cent in the American middle who at least have a little more open mind." Stone also admits he learned a lot about Bush while researching the film.
He adds: "Bush is not a lightweight. He has determination. What did I learn? I really learned how powerful the willpower and discipline is that he has.
"I’m not making political judgments. We’re not looking to condemn. He says what he says and does what he does. You’re going to like him, and at the same time, you’re going to be horrified by some of the stuff he does."
