BRITNEY SPEARS’ mother LYNNE has confirmed her daughter plans to hit the road for a world tour.
Spears hasn’t played a full string of live dates since her Onyx Hotel world tour in 2004.
But the Toxic hitmaker was recently rumoured to be planning a major international trek next year (09) to coincide with the release of her new album, Circus, in December (08).
And now her mother Lynne has confirmed the plans, saying, "She’s releasing music, she has plans to do tours and some other little secrets that I can’t tell you. It’s going to be fabulous though."

Former JAMES BOND star SIR SEAN CONNERY is reportedly set to become the face of designer Louis Vuitton.
Connery is alleged to have posed for photographer Annie Leibovitz for the brand’s new advertising campaign, following in the footsteps of film director Francis Ford Coppola and rocker Keith Richards.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the ads will be unveiled in October (08), around the same time the new Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, is released.

Actor/comedian DENIS LEARY has blasted the reality TV hosts of Sunday night’s (21Sep08) 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - because their lack of comic timing "offended" him.
Network executives capitalised on the growing reality TV craze by bestowing the M.C
. honour upon the hosts of five popular U.S
. shows - American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest, Project Runway’s Heidi Klum, Dancing with the Stars’ Tom Bergeron, Deal or No Deal’s Howie Mandel and Survivor’s Jeff Probst.
And Leary is furious producers didn’t consider him or one of his more talented colleagues for the gig - because he insists he saw them all cringing in the audience as the ceremony unfolded.
He says, "I don’t mind losing, I’m just happy to be there
. Which sounds cliche, except last night I went from being happy to be there to being incredibly bored.
"And I had no empathy for how bad these five hosts were
. And after opening I was like, you know what? I want to see them crash and burn on live TV - I want to see them melt - except for Heidi Klum, I love her.
"I was offended as a comedian..
. I’m so sick and tired of people saying, ‘You just write funny lines and put anybody up there’ - No, to be funny is actually a job and it takes required training.
"I have material left over from Fashion Rocks, if they said to me, ‘Hey, the whole show is crashing and burning
. Can you get up there?’ I could’ve been funnier than what was going on.
"And it just offended me as a comedian that this is what Hollywood thinks: That you put these four (sic) reality show announcers up there and they’re going to run the show? No, it doesn’t work that way
. It takes years of drinking and self-abuse."

Playboy boss HUGH HEFNER has laughed off rumours he has split from his longtime girlfriend HOLLY MADISON, insisting they are still together.
The ageing lothario has three main lovers - Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt.
But he is adamant that reports busty blonde Madison is now being romanced by illusionist Criss Angel are false.
He tells E! Online, "The reality is the girls and I are all together.
"Holly shares my bed on a nightly basis." And while Hefner acknowledges that the romances are bound to change over time, he insists the four will not be hiding anything away from the public.
He adds, "Are there going to be changes in the relationships? I’m sure there are going to be. I think that in the future the girls are going to, in time, be dating others and moving out of the mansion and when that happens we will not be keeping it a secret."

The star strutted her stuff for the Miss Bikini Luxe brand, donning two revealing outfits - a figure-hugging asymmetrical dress and a colourful plunging mini dress with waistcoat for her second walk on the runway.
But while Lewis went bra-less for her daring modelling debut, she left the more flesh-baring beach dresses and bikinis for the younger models to show off.

Beloved U.S. TV icon ED McMAHON has been given the go-ahead by a U.S. judge to proceed with a lawsuit against Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in which he accuses doctors of failing to cure his neck problems.
The former Tonight Show sidekick, who has been suffered a series of financial woes this year (08), checked into the hospital after breaking his neck in a fall at billionaire Robert Day’s home last year (07).
He claims the treatment he received wasn’t acceptable and alleges he is still experiencing neck pain which prevents him from working.
On Monday (22Sep08), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John P. Sook dismissed the hospital’s lawyers’ technical objections, ruling that McMahon had adequate legal grounds to pursue compensation.
He is now suing the hospital’s bosses and two physicians for negligence, elder abuse, battery, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other accusations, and is seeking a jury trial.
McMahon’s attorney, William Stoner, says, "The court’s ruling rejected the contention by Cedars-Sinai that it could not be responsible for the botched surgeries. It was a very important day for Ed McMahon." McMahon is also suing Day after slipping on "unsafe entry stairs" outside his home.
The 85 year old is currently battling a number of financial problems and faces lawsuits from a major credit card company, a pharmacy, and a New York law firm.

LATEST: Comedian DANE COOK has abandoned another appeal against the court-ordered eviction of his Los Angeles apartment - despite insisting that the allegedly haunted home helps his work.
The Good Luck Chuck star was hit with a lawsuit filed by his landlord in April (08), alleging he allowed his pet dog to defecate on the land surrounding the West Hollywood home. The legal papers claimed the funnyman had ignored three prior warnings from the building’s owner.
Cook returned to court last week (beg15Sep08) to appeal the case, claiming an eviction would cause him "emotional hardship".
Pleading with the court to bar the eviction, Cook claimed the pad - once home to John Belushi and Steve Martin - was haunted.
In his argument, Cook claimed that moving from the home would send his career into ruin, because living there fuelled his creativity.
The actor’s landlord won the dispute on Monday (22Sep08), citing a swarm of complaints from neighbours that the dog, named Beast, leaves his mess in the common areas of the apartment block.
Cook initially contested the case - but according to celebrity website TMZ.com, the actor has since requested his lawyers abandon the fight, choosing instead to pay the landlord an undisclosed sum of money to settle the dispute once and for all.
Cook recently became the owner of a $7 million (£3.8 million) home in the Hollywood Hills.

ANNE HATHAWAY’s ex-boyfriend RAFFAELLO FOLLIERI scammed a New Jersey priest out of $110,000 (£59,459), claiming he needed the cash to pay nuns.
Atlantic City monsignor William Hodge has requested his name be added to the list of victims the Italian businessman allegedly conned, claiming Follieri tricked him into paying for plane tickets and other bogus expenses, reports the New York Daily News.
Follieri was arrested on 24 June (08) - shortly after his split from Hathaway - and accused of running a scam between 2005 and 2007 which involved purchasing unwanted U.S. properties owned by the Catholic Church.
Earlier this month (Sep08), he admitted to misappropriating at least $2.4 million (£1.3 million) of investors’ money.
He became close to Hodge after they met in 2005 when Follieri was trying to buy unused church properties in Atlantic City. They later travelled together to Rome, Italy, where Follieri introduced Hodge to Vatican officials.
Hodge’s lawyer, William Hughes, has slammed reports suggesting Follieri hired the priest to convince investors of his close ties to the Vatican.
He says: "Utilising the exact same scheme and behaviour, the same confident man that separated one of this country’s richest men from his money, also separated this priest from his trusting nature." Follieri, 30, pleaded guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and money laundering in a Manhattan Federal court on 10 September (08), admitting he sent funds to foreign personal bank accounts that were disguised as business accounts, and used the funds for his own expenses.
Follieri is due to be sentenced on 3 October (08) and faces a minimum of five years in jail.

Scottish rockers MOGWAI have cancelled the remainder of their North American tour, after drummer MARTIN BULLOCH was hospitalised in New York at the weekend (20-21Sep08) suffering from heart problems.
The 34-year-old drummer has suffered from a heart condition for many years and wears a pacemaker - which he reveals has been causing him discomfort throughout the Scottish band’s U.S. tour.
Bulloch has been given the all-clear to return to Scotland to see a cardiologist there - forcing the band to pull the plug on the rest of its U.S.
and Canadian dates, and threatening Mogwai’s forthcoming European tour.
Bulloch says, "I’ve been having some problems with my pacemaker for the duration of the tour and it unfortunately culminated in me being sent to the emergency room.
"The doctors there initially thought I would have to have corrective surgery at a larger hospital nearer NYC but I have been given the all clear to travel home on the understanding that I go straight to my cardiologist on arrival back in Scotland.
"To be honest, I’m really bummed about having to go home and feel for the folk who had bought tickets for our upcoming shows, but I can honestly say it would be almost impossible for me to carry on at this point as my pacemaker has broken skin and the surrounding area has become infected."

Newly single MICHAEL BOLTON is selling his sprawling estate in Connecticut because he’s suffering from "empty nest syndrome".
The veteran crooner has put the Westport mansion on the market for $11 million (£5.94 million) after his teenage daughters Isa, Holly and Taryn - from his 15-year marriage to Maureen McGuire - recently moved out of the family home.
He tells People.com, "Empty nest syndrome, that’s what I have… The reality is, I’m spending so much time in Los Angeles and travelling six or seven months a year and working on my record. My daughters are grown up. When I come home and open the door, I hear an echo: ‘Hello, hello, hello.’" And Bolton admits he has been feeling particularly lonely since his split from Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan last month (Aug08) - but insists they are "still friends".
He is now using his free time to concentrate on charity work, particularly the domestic violence charity he founded in 1993.
The singer adds, "I’m doing what I consider really, really important work.
You are supposed to come into your home and feel safe. Violence against women is unacceptable."

TRAVIS BARKER’s ex-wife SHANNA MOAKLER is keeping a bedside vigil in a bid to raise the rocker’s spirits after he was left severely injured in a plane crash.
Barker and Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein are both in a critical but stable condition at an Augusta, Georgia hospital burns unit following the tragedy in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday (19Sep08).
Four people died when the plane they were travelling in crashed and caught fire after failing to clear the runway on take-off..
Moakler rushed to be by her ex’s side after hearing the news, and is trying to stay strong for Barker and their two young children.
A source close to the former Playboy model tells People.com, "When she got the call, she was in shock. She was very upset. It was devastating for her. But she knew she had to keep it together for Travis, her kids and her family.
"She’s there trying to lift his spirits. She’s there for him and will be there for him as long as it takes. She loves him." Among the deceased is Barker’s close pal and assistant Chris Baker.
The insider adds, "They lost Chris, Travis’s best friend. He was part of the family. They are really upset about his death." Moakler released a statement via her publicist on Monday (22Sep08) in which she thanked well-wishers for the "outpouring of love and support" they have received since the tragic news broke.
Barker and Moakler, who finalised their divorce earlier this year (08), have a son, Landon, four, and daughter Alabama, two, together.

LATEST: Shocking film footage of BLINK-182 rocker TRAVIS BARKER screaming for help as he escapes from the wreckage of a plane crash has been aired by a U.S.
TV network.
Barker and his pal, Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein, were hospitalised on Friday (19Sep08) after the plane they were travelling in failed to clear the runway in South Carolina and burst into flames.
Barker’s voice was identified in video footage aired by Columbia, South Carolina’s WOLO-TV, an ABC affiliate, on Monday (22Sep08).
In the clip, the drummer can be heard pleading for help as a rescue team reaches him.
The voice wails: "Get an ambulance man, get an ambulance… ahhh!" The deceased have been identified as pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, co-pilot James Bland, 52, Charles Still, 25, a close friend of both stars, and Barker’s assistant Chris Baker, 29.
Doctors said on Sunday (21Sep08) both Barker and Goldstein are expected to fully recover from the second and third-degree burns they suffered in the crash.
Federal officials have indicated a burst tyre as a probable cause for the tragic incident.

A drummer who toured with WHITNEY HOUSTON, TAKE THAT and TEXAS has been jailed after holding up a bank with a music-stand disguised as a gun.
Steve Tate - who enjoyed a successful career under the name Steve Washington - stole $2,160 (£1,200) from a bank in Kent, England earlier this year (Jul08).
Tate, 46 - who spent five years touring with Take That during the height of their fame in the early 1990s - was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to robbery.

Moviemaker STEVEN SPIELBERG has followed in the footsteps of BRAD PITT by donating $100,000 (£54,000) to a campaign to keep gay marriage legal in California.
Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw gave the cash to the anti-Proposition 8 campaign which helps activists oppose a high-level state vote to ban same-sex marriages.
The vote is due to take place in the upcoming November (08) elections.
Gay marriages were legalised in the state in May (08).
The couple said in a statement, "By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation.
"Such discrimination has NO place in California’s constitution, or any other." Pitt has also donated $100,000.

Director GUY RITCHIE quit drugs at the age of 20 - because he found them "dull".
The moviemaker, who is married to Madonna, admits he tried a variety of illegal substances in his youth, including cocaine and marijuana.
But Ritchie insists that he soon gave up his bad habits, because he didn’t find dabbling in drugs particularly interesting.
He says, "I had a drugs period, but I was quite young. I’ve not touched a drug since I was 20. I didn’t like cocaine. I smoked puff (marijuana), but it just got a bit dull and then it was all about hallucinogenics. But I got out of that scene. I’ve not touched them since."

And Ritchie admits that he was only just starting to adjust to life as a celebrity when he embarked on his new relationship - and was unprepared for the level of attention that dating Madonna brought with it.
