BUCK’S GUITAR RETURNED
LATEST: R.E.M. guitarist PETER BUCK is delighted his prized guitar has been found after it went missing earlier this month (Sep08).
The Losing My Religion rockers offered a "generous" reward for the instrument’s return after it disappeared following a show in Helsinki, Finland on 9 September (08).
But now the musician has announced that his cherished Rickenbacker has been returned - just in time for the band to take to the stage in Luxembourg on Saturday (20Sep08) night.
Buck is ecstatic to see his beloved guitar again, saying: "It’s great to have it back in my hands." While the band’s manager, Bertis Downs, adds, "We were always hopeful it would turn up, and thanks to the efforts of a lot of people, we are thrilled to have it back in Peter’s possession. We are grateful and very happy that it worked out this way."
