LATEST: Former BLINK-182 rocker TRAVIS BARKER and NICOLE RICHIE’s ex-fiance ADAM ‘DJAM’ GOLDSTEIN are in a stable condition in a specialist burns unit following a plane crash in South Carolina.
Barker, who once dated Paris Hilton, and Goldstein were hospitalised in after the disaster on Friday (19Sep08) which left four people dead.
The pals, who recently performed as the ‘house band’ at the MTV Video Music Awards, were passengers on a California-bound Learjet, which crashed on take-off from Columbia airport after reportedly failing to clear the runway.
Both stars are said to have scrambled from the blazing wreck of the aircraft before emergency rescue services arrived.
Barker and Goldstein are being treated for "extensive burns" at a specialist facility in Georgia. They are both said to be in a critical but stable condition.
The deceased have been identified as pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, co-pilot James Bland, 52, Charles Still, 25, a close friend of both stars, and Barker’s assistant Chris Baker, 29.
A publicist for Barker and Goldstein tells TMZ.com, "Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are in critical but stable condition and are being treated at Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia after surviving a plane crash late last night (20Sep08) in Columbia, South Carolina." Barker’s ex-wife, Playboy playmate Shanna Moakler, has reportedly flown out to the medical centre to be by her ex-husband’s side.

CAMERON DIAZ made a surprise appearance on U.S. satirical show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE at the weekend (20Sep08) - as a sex-starved middle-aged ‘cougar’.
The movie star played Cuban sexpot Kiki D’Amore in the skit, in which she cooed over her new toyboy, played by James Franco - the SNL guest host.
Diaz’s appearance wasn’t the only shock on Saturday night’s show; Gossip Girl star Blake Lively played a sex-change character with "a small penis" in spoof soap Murray Hill.

LATEST: LINDSAY LOHAN and her rumoured girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON have paid tribute to the victims of the plane crash which left BLINK-182 rocker TRAVIS BARKER and ADAM ‘DJAM’ GOLDSTEIN fighting for their lives.

Ronson has also sent her best wishes to the families involved, adding: "I can’t even imagine the pain their families must be in. Soooooo sad and I’m so sorry." While rockers Fall Out Boy, who toured with Barker’s +44 in 2007, released a statement reacting to news of the disaster.
It reads, "Our band would like to reach out and put those who were a part of this tragedy and their families in our prayers, and as well our continued support for the recovery of those who survived. It’s times like these that we are reminded - in the worst possible way - to honour life. Chris (Baker) was a rad (great) guy. He always had a way to get us to smile on tour, he was truly beloved."

Hollywood actress LINDSAY LOHAN is reportedly planning to invest in a New York home to share with her rumoured girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON.
The Mean Girls star currently lives in Los Angeles but originally hails from Long Island, New York.
And now the 22-year-old is said to be planning a return to her hometown by splashing out on a penthouse in the city’s famous Dakota building, where late Beatle John Lennon once lived.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star DANA DELANY turned down the lead role in SEX AND THE CITY - because she was fed up with "talking about sex." The actress has revealed she was offered the part of Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV series, a role later made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker.
But Delany insists the timing was wrong, because she had just starred in kinky 1994 comedy movie Exit to Eden.
She says, "The producer of Sex and the City, Darren Star, was an old friend of mine and he talked to me about it. But I had just played Mistress Lisa in Eden and people reacted badly to it. I had been America’s sweetheart and they (the public) just didn’t want to see me in that role. So I said, ‘Darren, I just can’t talk about sex one more time’. So Sarah Jessica Parker made it her own." And Delany admits she is glad she turned the role down, because she doubts the show would have been so successful without Parker.
She adds, "I wouldn’t have been the fashion icon that she was. It would have been a completely different show and who knows if it would have been a hit?"

LATEST: Former SOPRANOS star LILLO BRANCATO JR. is to face a murder trial next month (Oct08) over the death of a New York police officer.
A judge in the city ruled on Friday (19Sep08) that Brancato and co-defendant Steven Armento would be tried separately, although federal prosecutors argued for the pair to face the court together.
The 31-year-old actor and Armento have been in New York’s Riker’s Island jail for almost two years awaiting trial for the 2005 shooting of off-duty officer Daniel Enchautegui, who was allegedly killed while attempting to thwart a burglary at the house next door to his home.
Brancato has protested his innocence throughout.
The star’s murder trial is set for 28 October (08), while Armento goes on trial on 29 September (08).

LATEST: A judge in Las Vegas has dismissed a gun charge against comedian JERRY LEWIS.
The veteran funnyman was stopped by airport police in the city in July (08) after they found an unloaded firearm in his bag.
Lewis was subsequently cited for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
But now a judge has dropped the charge, agreeing not to impose a heavy fine on the 82-year-old.
Lewis’ lawyer, Ross Goodman, described Friday’s (19Sep08) resolution as "a good result for a great guy".
The comedian insisted the weapon was a gift from an engraver which he had forgotten was in his bag.

But now the musician has announced that his cherished Rickenbacker has been returned - just in time for the band to take to the stage in Luxembourg on Saturday (20Sep08) night.
Buck is ecstatic to see his beloved guitar again, saying: "It’s great to have it back in my hands." While the band’s manager, Bertis Downs, adds, "We were always hopeful it would turn up, and thanks to the efforts of a lot of people, we are thrilled to have it back in Peter’s possession. We are grateful and very happy that it worked out this way."

Pop singer GEORGE MICHAEL has been arrested after police caught him in possession of drugs.
The Careless Whisper hitmaker was detained on Friday (19Sep08) in the Hampstead Heath area of north London, close to his home in Highgate.
The singer was questioned at a nearby police station and later released with a caution for possessing class A and class C drugs - cocaine and cannabis.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police says, "We can confirm a 45-year-old man was arrested in the Hampstead heath area on the 19th September on suspicion of possessing drugs.
"He was taken to a North London police station where he received a caution and was released with no further action. "The caution was for the possession of class A and class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis." Michael was previously arrested in October 2006 in London, when cops found him slumped over the wheel of his car.
