MADDEN HELPS BANDMATE COPE WITH BABY NEWS
GOOD CHARLOTTE guitarist BILLY MARTIN was shocked when his wife fell pregnant but has been comforted by advice from his bandmate JOEL MADDEN.
Madden’s girlfriend Nicole Richie gave birth to the couple’s first child, Harlow, in January (08).
And Martin admits that the rocker has been incredibly supportive when he revealed his own baby news with his partner, Linzi.
Martin tells People.com, "All the sound in the world stopped for a minute (when she told me). I was shocked - but excited.
"Joel says it’s going to change my whole world, but fatherhood is the best thing that ever happened to him. He tells me not to stress out, and to try to take everything in (my) stride and enjoy it because it’s the coolest thing that can happen to you."
