DUPRI SUED OVER PHONE CALL RECORDING
Rap mogul JERMAINE DUPRI faces a lawsuit from a woman who claims her voice was used on one of his albums without her consent.
Aika Kendrick alleges that Dupri and artist Daz Dillinger recorded a telephone conversation with her and then used it in the background of the track The One on Dillinger’s 2006 album So So Gangster.
Kendrick claims she sent a cease-and-desist order to Dupri’s So So Def label when she discovered the conversation had been used, but it was ignored.
She is seeking $250,000 (£135,000) in damages, alleging the track made her, "The subject of embarrassment, humiliation, and degradation."
