Actress KATE HUDSON has fired back at reports she and BRIDE WARS co-star ANNE HATHAWAY are caught up in a tense war of words after falling out on the set of the upcoming film.

LATEST: Property tycoon-turned-U.S. reality TV king DONALD TRUMP’s second season of CELEBRITY APPRENTICE will pit jailbirds against straight stars.
Joining controversial Girls Gone Wild boss Joe Francis on the big business challenge will be Kim Kardashian’s sister Khloe.
Both minor celebrities spent time in jail in 2008 - Francis ended a 12-month stint behind bars on federal tax evasion charges in March (08) and Kardashian spent three hours in prison in June (08) for a probation violation.
Francis, who has already announced he’ll be a part of the new Celebrity Apprentice, has confirmed Kardashian will join him on the show.
He tells HollyScoop.com, "I will beat Khloe Kardashian on the Apprentice. It will make me very happy to beat Khloe.” The first season of the show was won by former British newspaper editor-turned-TV personality Piers Morgan. The second season will start shooting later this year (08) and will debut in America in January (08).
Show bosses are still refusing to confirm Francis and Kardashian will be a part of the programme.

Actor-tuned-singer TERRENCE HOWARD has hit back at reports he has turned to music to become a bigger celebrity - insisting he recorded his album to help a friend launch her own music career.
The 35-year-old star, who released his debut album Shine Through It this week (02Sep08), is desperate for record label bosses to give his new protege a chance.
He claims his young friend is talented beyond words but she has been forced to endure years of rejection from music executives, who told her her unconventional looks would impede her hopes of superstardom.
He says, "The main reason I did this album was, initially, I met this young girl named Ilsey Juber, who’s in my band now.
"I tried to get her a (record) deal, but she doesn’t look like Beyonce (Knowles). She’s the most incredible writer and singer… The only way I could get her a deal was - go get a deal myself.
"And now she’ll be opening for me and now she’ll get her deal, because she’s the truth."

LATEST: Olympic swimming champion MICHAEL PHELPS has been offered a recurring role on hit U.S. TV show ENTOURAGE after impressing the cast and crew with a recent cameo appearance.
The eight-time gold medal winner landed a role on the series when he happened to walk by the New York City set and producers offered him a part, as himself, in a scene with actor Kevin Connolly.
And Connolly’s co-star’s are keen to get Phelps back in front of the camera.
Actor Jeremy Piven says, "I could see him coming back as one of the boys. I can see (my character) Ari being very aggressive in recruiting him to represent him and also stopping at nothing to poach him from another client. That’s what Ari would do." Show creator Doug Ellin doesn’t seem opposed to the idea, admitting he was stunned by the mass hysteria that ensued when Phelps was spotted by fans on the street.
Ellin adds: "It was the coolest thing in the world. When he showed up, I’m not exaggerating, city buses stopped and people started yelling and within five minutes we couldn’t even shoot." Phelps’ Entourage episode debuts in America on 7 September (08).

U.S. punk icons BAD BRAINS are to return to their native Washington, D.C. for an election night (04Nov08) concert, almost 20 years after they were banned from city clubs.
As America votes for a new President, the original line-up of the Banned In D.C. group will perform at the 9.30 Club in the U.S. capital.
Bad Brains were told they were no longer welcome at city venues after a series of near riots at hometown shows.
As a result, the band steered clear of Washington on tours and only returned for a 2000 show - as Soul Brains.
A spokesman for the band says, "It was an unofficial ban, but the band understood they weren’t welcome at venues in Washington, D.C. "The election night show is a triumphant homecoming of sorts - and so far no one is opposing the show."

LATEST: Teenage star JAMIE LYNN SPEARS’ mother LYNNE has denied reports she sent troubled Alaskan 17-year-old BRISTOL PALIN a baby gift package on behalf of her daughter following the scandal surrounding her pregnancy.
Reports suggested Lynne called designer baby gift boutique Petit Tresor in Hollywood and ordered a stack of designer burpcloths for the daughter of U.S.
Republican vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin.
A store spokesperson told ABC News Spears included a card with the package of baby burpcloths, reading: “Dear Bristol, Hang in there! XXOO, Jamie Lynn Spears.” But Lynne Spears has denied the claims.
A spokesman tells E! News: "I just got off the phone with Lynne. I can tell you that she hasn’t sent her any gifts, but that she does support Sarah and, of course, can empathise with their situation."

Rockers KINGS OF LEON have branded troubled stars like AMY WINEHOUSE and PETE DOHERTY "insecure", alleging they use drugs because they are desperate for fame.
The band’s drummer Nathan Followill insists some groups resort to behaving in a "stupid" manner in a bid for attention - because their music isn’t very good on its own.
And the star refers to Winehouse’s recent home movie, posted on video-sharing website YouTube, as an example - the clip showed her behaving strangely and talking to her pet mice.
Followill says, "Any time you’re in a band and you’re known for anything other than music, it becomes a novelty.
"Lots of bands think they have to be out there being stupid. It’s a form of insecurity because their music isn’t good enough to hold people’s attention. So they have to smoke crack, play with baby mice and put it on YouTube."

Rapper 50 CENT has defended his child custody requests, insisting he only wants visitation ever other weekend because he wants minimum disruption to his son’s education.
The In Da Club hitmaker has been embroiled in a legal battle with his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins over custody of 11-year-old Marquise for months, and now the former couple’s legal spat will go before a judge on Monday (08Sep08).
50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - was reunited with Marquise last month (Aug08) after he accused Tompkins of "kidnapping" their son following a devastating fire at her New York home in May (08).
The star, who lives in Connecticut, has since been criticised for his request to spend just two weekends a month with Marquise - but the rapper insists he’s simply taking his kid’s schooling seriously.
50 Cent’s lawyer Brett Kimmel claims his client is also seeking access during school holidays and a month in the summer.
Kimmel tells website TMZ.com the custody request "maximises the time the child can spend with his father while remaining sensitive to the child’s own schedule".
The rapper recently spent 10 days with his son at his sprawling Connecticut mansion before heading overseas to shoot a new movie. The move came after 50 Cent and Tompkins reached a temporary custody agreement. The former couple’s ongoing legal spat will be brought before a judge on Monday (08Sep08) in a bid to permanently resolve their differences.

KATIE HOLMES’ all-singing, all-dancing guest appearance on TV hit ELI STONE has been hailed by co-star MATT LETSCHER as "phenomenal".
The actress will appear in the U.S. comedy series as an attorney when the show returns to the air this autumn (08), and Letscher claims Holmes will stun audiences with her star turn on the show.
He tells People.com, "She does a song-and-dance number that is the best one we’ve ever done.
"We’ve done tons of (musical numbers), and she was just phenomenal." And Letscher is sure Holmes would be welcome to return if she was offered another opportunity on the programme.
He says: "(Show bosses) have left it open. I think she had a great time, which made it easier. Everyone was welcoming and it couldn’t have worked out better." Letscher also echoed his fellow Eli Stone stars Natasha Henstridge and Jason Winston George’s comments about Holmes’ polite nature, adding: "She’s the sweetest person in the world, down to earth, simple. She’s just like anybody else. I met her daughter, and her husband (Tom Cruise) was on set. It was great."

LATEST: A man has been charged for the murder of ASHTON KUTCHER’s ex-girlfriend ASHLEY ELLERIN - seven years after her death.
Michael Gargiulo, 32 - who has been behind bars since July (08) after being arrested for an April (08) knife attack - was formally charged with the murder of Ellerin and another woman on Thursday (04Sep08).
The 22-year-old’s body was found in her Hollywood Hills home in February 2001.
Kutcher told police at the time of the incident that he had gone to pick up the fashion student/model from her home to attend a post-Grammy Awards party, but she failed to answer the door.
He said he left the property after checking a back window and spotting what he thought to be red wine stains on the carpet. Ellerin was found dead the following day by a friend.
Santa Monica police Lieutenant Darrell Lowe revealed last week (ends29Aug08) that DNA evidence collected from a crime scene earlier this year (08) indicated that Gargiulo was responsible for the stabbings of women in Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, and Monterey Park, California. The Illinois murder dates back to 1993.
Garguilo has been held on $1.1 million (£628,571) bail for the last two months on attempted murder and burglary charges.
But Garguilo insists he is not guilty.
His attorneys Elana Goldstein and David Murphy tell website TMZ.com, "Our client vehemently denies all allegations against him and any involvement in any of these murders." Kutcher, who is now married to Demi Moore, has so far refused to comment on the new developments.

British funnyman STEVE COOGAN hopes to bring a foul four-letter word to the mouths of millions in a forthcoming comedy sketch about the female anatomy.
