LOHAN MISSES GRANDFATHER’S WAKE
LINDSAY LOHAN reportedly chose to skip her grandfather’s funeral services this weekend (begs30Aug08) - opting instead to hit the shops with close pal and rumoured lover SAMANTHA RONSON.
The Mean Girls star was photographed perusing stores with Ronson in New York City on Saturday (30Aug08), allegedly at the time of her grandfather’s wake in Long Island, New York.
Her father Michael Lohan confirmed his daughter’s absence to website X17Online.com later that evening.
Lohan’s paternal grandfather Richard died last Thursday (28Aug08) at the age of 73 following a long battle with colon cancer.
Michael Lohan subsequently released an official statement to America’s OK! magazine, using his father’s passing to take a swipe at his ex-wife Dina.
The statement read: "Let’s see if she has the decency and respect to bring my kids to the wake and funeral. THIS will show her true colours! Thus, not even a call. But that’s par for the course with Dina! She didn’t even send a card or visit when he was sick."
