CHARLIE SHEEN is planning a baby shower party with a difference for his pregnant wife BROOKE MUELLER - the sex of the couple’s first child together will be revealed to all.
The actor admits he has no idea at present whether Mueller is expecting a boy or a girl, and he’s not sure he wants to know.
But, if the sex becomes an issue - all will be revealed at a dinner party.
He says, "Ultimately, we just want a healthy child. We know everyone says that, but it’s the truth.
"But we might do that thing where they do the test, then write it down, then we have a dinner and it’s revealed.”

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) activists have charted the five most veggie-friendly rehab centres in America - and the animal rights group bosses will be handing out certificates to match their findings.
The Caron Foundation in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, where Liza Minnelli and Steven Tyler have both sought treatment, tops the list for its spinach-mushroom pie, tofu tetrazzini, vegetarian paella, Caesar salad with portobello mushrooms, and black-bean patties with pineapple chutney, ratatouille, and tofu.
Cottonwood de Tucson in Arizona comes in second thanks to menu items like baked rigatoni with spinach, wasabi mashed potatoes with snap peas, vegetable pizza, vegetable fried rice with spring rolls, portobello mushrooms stuffed with polenta, and vegetable tostadas. Former residents have included Ron Wood and Halliwell.
Malibu, California’s Passages, the Hazelden clinic in Minnesota and The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona also make the list.

ANGELINA JOLIE is considering making a major splash into the foreign film market - by starring in a French movie.
The new mum has spent the summer (08) in the French countryside, and gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in nearby Nice in July (08) - and now she’s a firm Francophile.
Jolie, whose late mother Marcheline Bertrand was French, has been studying the language for years and tells German magazine Focus she would be interested in taking part in a French film - if she was asked.
She says, "When I can really speak it (French), then maybe I’ll audition for a French film… I truly am interested; more and more fantastic films are coming out of Europe and other cultures."

SUPERMAN director RICHARD DONNER is among the celebrities fighting to save the childhood home of the comic book superhero’s creator.
Bestselling author Brad Meltzer visited Jerry Siegel’s former home in Cleveland, Ohio while researching his new book, Book of Lies, and was disappointed to find the building in a state of severe disrepair.
So, teaming up with fellow writers, comic book creators and famous friends, he has launched a fundraiser to help rebuild the home where Siegel first created Superman.
The celebrities and writers have offered Meltzer a series of auction items, which the author is offering up for sale on OrdinaryPeopleChangeTheWorld.com.
Meltzer says, "When I saw that the house where Superman was created was in disrepair, it just seemed wrong. The house where Google was created is saved.
The farm where Hewlett Packard was founded is preserved. The Superman house deserves the same respect." The auction, which ends on 30 September (08), features a walk-on part in TV show Heroes and the chance to have a comic book character named after you.

Actress LINDSAY LOHAN has slammed the U.S. media for focusing on the pregnancy of potential vice-president SARAH PALIN’s teenage daughter instead of more important political issues.
The Mean Girls star has responded to rampant media reports of 17-year-old Bristol Palin’s pregnancy after the Alaskan Governor was chosen as Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s running mate in the November (08) election last week (ends29Aug08).
In a post on her MySpace.com blog, Lohan writes, "I’ve been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and I keep hearing about the issues related to ‘teen pregnancy’ - it’s all related to Sarah Palin and her 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter.
"I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. It’s distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.
"I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter’s pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them - if elected… I would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country."

Golfing ace TIGER WOODS is to become a father for the second time.
The 32 year old’s model wife Elin Nordegren is due to give birth in "late winter".
Woods announced the happy news in a written message on his official website on Tuesday (02Sep08).
The sports star says: "I have some wonderful news to report. (Daughter) Sam is going to be a big sister… Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled." Little Sam Alexis Woods was born in 2007.
Woods and Nordegren wed in 2004.

Rapper REVEREND RUN has vowed never to make a musical comeback with hip-hop group RUN-DMC after the tragic shooting death of the group’s co-founder JASON ‘JAM-MASTER JAY’ MIZELL.
Run, real name Joseph Simmons, and Mizell became hip-hop pioneers in the 1980s alongside fellow group member Darryl McDaniels. and though the rapper admits he has fond memories of the group’s hitmaking career, he insists he hasn’t entertained any thoughts of a reunion since Jay’s 2002 death.
He says, "The bottom line is, when you think about RUN DMC you think about Jam Master Jay, and, if you come to a Run DMC concert, you would wanna hear the music that we made in 1986." But Run admits he has found ways to continue capitalising on his group’s success without releasing new music or planning comeback concerts: "We (have) got T-shirts, books, (my U.S. reality-TV show) Run’s House and I went on tour with Kid Rock."

Rappers NAS and YOUNG JEEZY have declared their support for U.S. Democratic presidential nominee BARACK OBAMA after teaming up for a politically-charged rap.
The pair recorded My President Is Black for Jeezy’s forthcoming album, The Recession.
Young Jeezy recently announced the collaboration to MTV News, insisting the pair has put aside their hip-hop feud to support their choice for president.
Nas raps on the record: "History, black history/No president ever did s*** for me… Mr. black president yeah Obama for real/Hey gotta put your face on the $5,000 bill." The record is scheduled to hit shelves on 2 September (08).

Legendary entertainer JERRY REED has died of complications from emphysema. He was 71.
Reed began his career as a guitarist, before launching into songwriting, singing and later rising to fame as an actor with 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit, co-starring Burt Reynolds.
He later starred alongside funnyman Adam Sandler in 1998 comedy The Waterboy.
Reed also enjoyed a string of music hits during the 1970s and 1980s, including the 1971 Grammy Award-winning track When You’re Hot, You’re Hot - the second of three Grammys for the star.
Reed signed his first recording contract at 17 with Capitol Records, after dropping out of high school to tour with Ernest Tubb and Faron Young.
His perseverance paid off when rock legend Elvis Presley recorded two of his songs, U.S. Male and Guitar Man, in 1968.
Johnny Cash later took note of his talents, recording his hit A Thing Called Love in 1972.
The legend also wrote songs for Brenda Lee, Tom Jones, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole and the Oak Ridge Boys.
Reed had quadruple bypass surgery in June 1999.
He is survived by wife Priscilla Mitchell and their two daughters.

PINK’s ex-husband CAREY HART appears in the TROUBLE maker’s new video - even though the song dismisses her marriage to the action sports star.
In the promo for new single So What, the singer - real name Alecia Moore chops down a tree with `Alecia + Carey’ carved into it and attacks a just married couple who recognise her at a stop sign.
Despite that, and the fact she sings, "I don’t need you/And guess what/I’m having more fun/And now that we’re done/I’m gonna show you tonight/I’m all right, I’m just fine/And you’re a tool/So so what," Hart appears in the video.
He dances and fights with his ex as headlines about their split and divorce flash up on the screen.
And to confuse fans even more, Pink sings, "You weren’t there/You never were/You want it all/But that’s not affair" as she pokes and prods a yawning Hart.
The video also features a liberated Pink riding through Beverly Hills on a lawn mower tractor and stripping off on the red carpet for the paparazzi.

MORRISSEY has mysteriously split with his management company after just three months.
The ex-Smiths star joined ie:music in May (08) after parting company with longtime manager Merck Mercuriadis.
Morrissey’s decision to leave ie:music - the home of stars like Robbie Williams and Sia - has not been explained - neither he nor his former management are discussing the matter.
The split news comes just weeks after Morrissey blasted the bosses of his former label Warner Bros. for planning to release a Live at the Hollywood Bowl DVD, which he claimed was recorded "without any consultation to me whatsoever, and in breach of their terms as laid out by themselves in an agreement made for the film between Warner and my ex-manager."

LATEST: The man arrested by the FBI for leaking nine unreleased GUNS N’ ROSES tracks is asking for online financial help to fund his legal counsel.
In a post on his website, where he first unveiled the new tracks illegally, blogger Kevin Cogill has revealed has retained the services of a lawyer and he has set up a Paypal account in an effort to raise funds for his defense.
He also plans on auctioning off his Gibson Les Paul BFG guitar to help raise cash for his impending trial.
He explains, "(This) has definitely been by far the biggest expense I have ever faced in my entire life. My resources are very limited while formidable costs shall continue to pile up. It’s beyond daunting, being a single independent citizen facing a full-force prosecution by the most powerful government in the world.” If convicted Cogill faces a possible five-year prison sentence and a $250,000 (GBP135,135) fine. A preliminary hearing is booked for 17 September (08).

Actor MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY set a new personal record after completing the Nike + Human Race in his native Texas in less than 44 minutes at the weekend (31Aug08).
The sporty Fool’s Gold star took part in the 10 kilometre (6.2 mile) global event in Austin on Sunday, raising money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund, and the United Nations Refugee Agency, NineMillion.org.
McConaughey crossed the finish line in less than 44 minutes - beating his previous personal best of 45, reports People.com.
The Nike + Human Race took place on the same day in 25 cities worldwide.

Actor JOSH HARTNETT has reportedly received a verbal warning from security bosses at a London hotel after he was allegedly caught on camera getting intimate with a female friend in a public library.
The Pearl Harbor star, who is preparing to take to the London stage for a theatre adaptation of Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise’s movie Rainman, was allegedly spotted enjoying a frisky romp with an unidentified female at the Soho Hotel - and security guards witnessed Hartnett’s every move.
They were forced to warn him not to repeat his steamy actions.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, "Josh and the girl were getting pretty hot and heavy. After stumbling in quite late, they legged it (ran) to the library and immediately closed all the curtains so that no one could see in.
"Unfortunately the hotel has security cameras all over the place - the library included. This means their every spit and cough was recorded, and cringing hotel workers saw all of Josh’s X-rated moves.
"No one quite knew where to look and there was a very awkward silence. Josh didn’t seem bothered that the library wasn’t locked and anyone could just burst in. He just kind of went for it.
"After the event, someone had a quiet word in Josh’s ear and he was asked to take his personal business elsewhere in future. Josh took it on the chin (acknowledged it) and didn’t kick up a fuss. He’s been as good as gold since." Harnett’s stint on the West End stage was due to start on Tuesday (02Sep08), but has been delayed until next week (begs08Sep08) because director Terry Johnson insists the play is not quite ready.

Irish actor JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS is forbidden to put on weight for his role as the famously fat KING HENRY VIII in hit TV drama THE TUDORS.
Meyers - hailed as one of Hollywood’s most handsome leading men - has played the British monarch since the show began last year (07).
But bosses insist they have no plans to order the actor to pile on the pounds.
Executive producer Morgan O’Sullivan says: "We still want him to be appealing. We don’t want to destroy his good looks. An exact portrayal of Henry is not a factor that we think is important."

LATEST: Rapper SNOOP DOGG has been given the go-ahead to proceed with his tour of Australia, just days after officials Down Under announced they were reconsidering their initial visa approval following a flurry of complaints.
The Drop It Like It’s Hot star - real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. - was barred from obtaining a visa in August 2007 because of his criminal record, which includes drugs and firearms offences dating back to 1990.
Australia’s new government lifted the ban last week (26Aug08), leaving him free to complete a planned tour of the country with fellow hip-hop icon Ice Cube in October (08).
But the live dates were thrown back into jeopardy just hours after ministers announced their decision - because of a series of objections from the public.
Immigration officers then declared they were to rethink the visa, and would take a "more thorough assessment of Mr Broadus’ character" before giving a final decision.
But according to online reports, Snoop Dogg has now been fully approved and will be allowed into the country when the Australian leg of his tour kicks off in Brisbane on 29 October.

Hotel heiress PARIS HILTON has vowed to curb her party lifestyle - because the celebrity social scene leaves her feeling "empty".
Hilton was once a regular at star-studded events, but she insists she has lost interest in the party circuit since she started dating rocker Benji Madden earlier this year (08).
And the 27-year-old is adamant that she has now left her wild lifestyle behind.
She tells British magazine Heat, "I don’t want to go to clubs now. I was caught up in a lifestyle that seemed fun at the time, but ultimately left me feeling very empty." And Hilton puts her reformed character down to her new love.

Actor RUPERT FRIEND initially turned down a role as a Nazi officer in new film THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS - because the character "scared" him.
The British star, 26, plays the vicious Nazi Lieutenant Kotler in the Holocaust movie, about the innocent friendship between young boys Bruno and Shmuel, who is a prisoner of a nearby concentration camp.
The film is based on the book of the same name by John Boyne.
But Friend admits he was shocked by the violent nature of his character - and almost missed out on the project as a result.
He says, "I mean, it’s not particularly flattering to be associated with a group of people who attempted to exterminate an entire race.
"I’m not a shouty person, and I’m not violent either. The character scared me. But then I realised that that was probably the point. It was about putting a human face on these atrocities." However, Friend struggled throughout filming and became withdrawn after shooting the more harrowing scenes.
He adds: "I just hid in the corner, like a dog, after those scenes."
