BARKLEY TURNS TO POLITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

Retired basketball icon CHARLES BARKLEY has found a new career - as Alabama state governor.
The 45-year-old Alabama native joined a legion of celebrities at this week’s (beg25Aug08) historic Democratic National Convention, where he spoke of his hopes of following in the footsteps of actor-turned-state officer Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Barkley, a registered Independent voter, tells the New York Daily News: "I’m planning to run for governor of Alabama. I have to live there for seven years.
I bought my house there last year (07). I have homes in Arizona and Pennsylvania, but Alabama needs more help."
