GLITTER SHAVES OFF BEARD TO AVOID PRESS
Shamed pop star GARY GLITTER has shaved off his beard in an attempt to avoid attention in the U.K.
The singer - real name Paul Gadd - was released from prison in Vietnam last week (19Aug08) after serving nearly three years for sexually assaulting two girls aged nine and 11.
He attempted to avoid deportation to his native Britain by flying to Thailand and Hong Kong - but was rejected and eventually returned to the U.K on Friday (22Aug08).
And in a bid to avoid attention from the British media and public, Gadd has since transformed his appearance.
In photographs printed by British tabloid, The Sun, he can be seen wearing a ginger wig and a straw hat. He has also shaved off his iconic white beard.
The publication reports that Gadd is staying at a secret address in Hampshire.
