PEACHES’ MARRIAGE HELPS HER GRIEVE FOR MOTHER, SAYS SISTER
PEACHES GELDOF wed MAX DRUMMEY because she is still scarred from the death of her mother, according to the teen’s sister PIXIE.
The 19-year-old married American rocker Drummey in Las Vegas last week (ends15Aug08), despite only dating for one month.
But younger sister Pixie, 17, believes the marriage is a result of Peaches’ depression following the death of their mother Paula Yates.
She says, "She’s got problems just like all of us have about what happened to my mum.
"I’ve been in therapy not long ago and she has had a hard time.
"That’s why she has done drugs and why this wedding happened too. We’re all depressed in our family." Yates died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2000 when Peaches was 11-years-old.
