WEAVER: ‘I WATCHED MUM DIE’
Actress SIGOURNEY WEAVER was heartbroken as she watched her mother die because the pair had just reconciled after an estranged relationship.
The Alien star admits she had a "difficult relationship" with her mother, Elizabeth, who passed away last year (07) of natural causes at the age of 94.
But in the final five years of her mother’s life they had made peace - and Weaver even held her mother’s hand as she died.
Weaver recalls, "I was with her when she died, she’d had a tough couple of years. She was 94 and, luckily, I had been able to spend quite a bit of time with her.
"She had a very peaceful end, I was holding her hand. She had really lived her life. I miss her but I feel she is still with me."
