CRUZ TAKES AIM AT ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ SPANISH MEDIA

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

Actress PENELOPE CRUZ fears for her life every time she steps out in her native Spain because aggressive cameramen follow her every move.
The Vanilla Sky star believes dating a fellow Spanish star, Javier Bardem, and the increase of "cheap" celebrity news shows have turned her into a media target.
Cruz, who lives near the Spanish capital Madrid, reveals camera crews regularly camp out on her doorstep, awaiting any footage they can get of her with Bardem.
She says, "In Spain these TV shows are on for maybe 17 hours a day. They are very cheap to make because they just have somebody running after people in the street with a camera, provoking them, insulting them.
"They are waiting for more and more drama… Unless they have a dead body in front of them, it’s not enough. I mean, it is just beyond crazy and completely unacceptable."
