LEDGER’S FATHER ‘PROUD’ OF BATMAN PERFORMANCE
LATEST: HEATH LEDGER’s father KIM and his family are "proud" of the late actor’s performance in THE DARK KNIGHT - as the film "is everything we hoped it would be and more." Ledger’s family flew to New York to attend the screening of the tragic actor’s movie on Monday (14Jul08).
In a statement released by the family, Ledger’s father says, "The Dark Knight is everything we hoped it would be and more.
"Heath loved the experience of creating this character and working on the film. We are so proud of our boy." Ledger was found dead from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment on 22 January (08). He was 28 years old.
The Dark Knight hits movie theatres in the U.S. on 18 July (08).
