Legendary actor SIR IAN McKELLEN sparked reports he will be appearing nude in a forthcoming TV show after a network executive dodged questions on the subject.
McKellen is set to star in PBS’ adaptation of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of King Lear in the autumn (08).
The actor has said how much skin will be shown will be decided upon "what I think about it and also what the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) will allow".
But when confronted about unedited scenes, network President Paul Kerger commented only on the actor’s on-screen talents, adding: "It’s powerful. His entire performance is quite powerful."
