Stars including TOM CRUISE, MATT LUCAS and SIMON FULLER all turned out to watch soccer ace DAVID BECKHAM play for LA Galaxy on Thursday (10Jul08) - in celebration of his first anniversary living in the U.S.
The British star, who joined the team from Real Madrid last year (07), invited his close Hollywood pals to watch him play.
The 33-year-old was also cheered on by his nine-year-old son Brooklyn, but the rest of the Beckham clan, including his Spice Girl wife Victoria, were missing from the crowd.
The anniversary celebrations follow the star’s comments that he is happier than ever in the U.S.
He also blasted his critics for ever questioning the move.
Beckham says, "We are really settled, I must admit. There’s not a single regret. People questioned why I came over here so early, but they were asking a few months before whether I could play at the top level.
"You’ll always have a few people who doubt you. But everything is positive and I am so happy here. Victoria is happy here and likes working here."

AMY WINEHOUSE’s father MITCH will force her husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL to enter rehab when he is released from prison - in a bid to save his daughter from a life of drugs.
Fielder-Civil is currently awaiting sentence in London’s Pentonville Prison after pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) in relation to an attack on pub landlord James King in June 2006.
The 25-year-old could walk free as early as 21 July (08) following his sentencing.
And Mitch is determined to make sure that Fielder-Civil is drug-free after his time behind bars, because he wants to make sure his singer daughter isn’t tempted back to a life of wild partying.
He says, "If he comes out, they can’t carry on as they have. I don’t think he’s been clean in prison. He’s a fit young man - he could carry on the rest of his life like that - but Amy can’t. If he comes out he will go straight into rehab."

AMY WINEHOUSE’s father MITCH has issued a stark warning to his troubled daughter - urging her to give up drugs or face a "long, slow, painful death".
The Back to Black hitmaker has endured a long battle with her addictions – including a stint in rehab earlier this year (08).
She has since suffered a string of health problems including a bout of infectious skin condition impetigo.
Most recently, the singer was hospitalised in June (08) after collapsing at her home and was subsequently diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema.
Now her dad, Mitch Winehouse, has said beehive-wearing Amy must give up her party lifestyle once and for all.
He says, "She will die. But it won’t be from a drugs overdose. She will die from emphysema. That will be the most likely scenario if she doesn’t check her behaviour. We are talking about a long, slow, painful death - gasping for air.
I would like all the people who would give her illegal substances to think about that."

KEVIN COSTNER has a "dream" life as an actor - but it took years of hard work and dedication to carve out a career in music.
The Hollywood star is a member of country rock band Modern West and is relishing every moment of being in the group because of the struggle he went through to prove his musical talent.
He says, "I’ve had the kind of life where if I could dream it, I could do it.
But you don’t just end up on stage in front of thousands because you dream it.
"Hard work is involved in everything I do and I’ve enjoyed working on writing songs and performing music.
"If it ever stops being fun, I’ll be just as happy going back to playing guitar and singing in my living room." Modern West are currently on tour in the U.S. and are set to release an album in October (08).

British actress SIENNA MILLER has fuelled rumours she is having an affair with married BALTHAZAR GETTY – after they were photographed together in a topless clinch.
The pair was snapped frolicking on a yacht off Italy’s Amalfi coast earlier this week (beg07Jul08), just days after actor Getty denied being romantically involved with the Alfie star.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Sienna is totally besotted with Balthazar. Their relationship has gone from strength to strength over the past month and Sienna finds him utterly irresistible.

R&B star USHER’s concert in Nigeria in the early hours of Saturday morning (12Jul08) was marred by violence when a fight broke out in the crowd.
The Love In This Club hitmaker was performing at the This Day Music and Fashion Festival 2008 in the country’s capital of Abuja at around 1am when the drunken brawl took place in front of the stage.
Security guards attempted to break up the scuffle as members of the crowd were shoved towards the platform and one man was removed from the venue, The Dome.
It is currently unclear whether the unnamed male was arrested, as one source claimed, or was simply forbidden from re-entering the concert.
Nobody was seriously injured.
The gig also saw performances from rap superstar Jay-Z and pop star Rihanna.

Pop star GEORGE MICHAEL has applied to a North London council for permission to redesign his garden.
The Faith hitmaker owns a luxurious home in Finchley and wants to change the layout of the outdoor area.
But the plans are so drastic he has to seek an order from his local authority to give him the green light.
According to the proposal, the former Wham! singer is hoping to remove a veranda from his back yard - because it blocks out too much sunlight to the breakfast room at the back of the house.
The singer will have to wait for planning permission to be granted by Barnet council before he can go ahead with the work.

Actor DAVID DUCHOVNY is surprised his marriage to TEA LEONI has lasted because he never saw himself settling down.
The X Files star thought he would always be unable to sustain a long-term relationship because he would lose interest after a few years.
He says, "Twelve years ago, I would have been hard pressed to understand why I’d want to be involved sexually with one person this long.
"Prior to Tea, the longest my intense sexual interest would last would be maybe two years." But Duchovny, who has been married to Leoni for eleven years and has two children with the actress, admits that marriage is better than he thought.
He adds, "A lot of guys run with fear when that (sexual) intensity starts to fade but the real rewards of a relationship come after you’ve been together for a while.
"That’s where Tea and I are lucky. It keeps getting deeper. It’s kind of exciting. I’m as surprised as anybody."

The makers of ABBA movie musical MAMMA MIA! have been criticised by coastguard agencies for a scene which shows characters jumping off a cliff - amid fears it will encourage "tombstoning." Thrill-seekers take part in tombstoning by leaping from a high ledge into the sea.
But the practice, which has risen sharply in Britain over the last few years, can cause life-threatening injuries.
Now coastguards in the U.K. have criticised the new film for showing it in a positive light.
Fred Kaygill, of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, says, "A 46-year-old father of six was killed last year doing it.
“This summer we have seen two broken necks among a spate of serious injuries.
It is stupid to promote tombstoning and this film does nothing to help people realise how dangerous it is. This scene does nothing for the story and should not be in there."

GREY’S ANATOMY creator SHONDA RHIMES has denied KATHERINE HEIGL’s character in the series is to be "killed off" following a row over this year’s (08) Emmy Awards.
The actress, who plays Dr. Isobel ‘Izzie’ Stevens, sparked controversy last month (Jun08) when she refused to submit her name for the prize-giving.
She claimed writers on the hit show were not giving her enough good material.
And the ensuing row led to rumours she was to be axed - with bosses plotting a dramatic death scene for her character.
A source tells E Online, "It’s not good there. Shonda is pissed. They’re thinking of killing her off." But the show’s creator, Rhimes, has denied any knowledge of a possible exit for Heigl.
She tells E Online, "I haven’t heard anything about that."

GONE WITH THE WIND star EVELYN KEYES has died of uterine cancer. She was 91.
The actress passed away at her home in Santa Barbara, California on 4 July (08) but the news was withheld until her death certificate had been filed, according to her close friend Allan Glaser.
Keyes played Scarlett O’Hara’s younger sister, Suellen, in the 1939 movie and went on to star in a variety of other films including 1949’s Mrs Mike and The Seven Year Itch in 1955.
The star, who married four times, counted director John Huston and band leader Artie Shaw among her famous husbands.
After Shaw died in 2004, Keyes sued his estate, claiming that she was entitled to half of it. In July 2006 a jury ruled in her favour and awarded her $1.42 million (£711,000).
Her last film appearance was in 1989 in the comedy movie Wicked Stepmother.

British band COLDPLAY’s latest album was slated by legendary producer BRIAN ENO before it was even recorded, according to frontman CHRIS MARTIN.
The rocker and his band enlisted the former Roxy Music keyboardist to help with their latest album Viva La Vida - but were shocked when Eno unleashed his thoughts on their songs.
Martin says, "He said, ‘Your songs are too long, you’re too repetitive and your lyrics aren’t good enough.’ "Within 20 minutes we’d forgotten about all our previous record sales."

LATEST: ROLLING STONES star RONNIE WOOD is reportedly planning to check himself into rehab for the second time in a month - after his wife JO went public about her fears over his drinking.
Wood, a self-confessed alcoholic, has been at the centre of controversy after a British tabloid newspaper reported that he had left his wife for an 18-year-old Russian waitress.
But although Jo Wood has dismissed stories that her husband is having an affair, she confirmed rumours he has begun drinking heavily again - admitting she is seriously worried about the 61-year-old rocker’s health.
Wood has been staying in Ireland with teenage Muscovite Ekaterina Ivanova who is rumoured to be romantically involved with the musician.
Now, following Jo’s public outburst, it is reported that he is planning on returning to the family home in England and seeking help to combat his drinking.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "It gave him a slap round the face and hopefully shocked him back onto the wagon. He called and said he was coming back on Monday and will check into rehab. Let’s just hope he does." Last month (Jun08), Wood checked himself into rehab before his daughter Leah’s wedding amid fears he was losing his battle with the booze.

HEATH LEDGER will be honoured with a posthumous Oscar nomination for his role as the JOKER in BATMAN movie THE DARK KNIGHT, his co-star SIR MICHAEL CAINE insists.
Ledger’s performance has been lauded by castmates and preview audiences, and his name is already being mentioned as a contender for next year’s Academy Awards - which will take place shortly after the first anniversary of his death.
And Caine is sure he’ll get a mention. Speaking on Friday (11Jul08) as he unveiled his hand and footprints outside the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, the 75-year-old says, "I think he’ll get a posthumous Oscar nomination at least.
"I just watched him and talked to him for three days and I thought he was extraordinary." Ledger was found dead from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment on 22 January. He was just 28 years old.
The Dark Knight hits movie theatres in the U.S. on 18 July (08).

Pop star and French first lady CARLA BRUNI is "hurt" after her new album was mauled by critics.
The Italian wife of president Nicolas Sarkozy released her latest LP - As If Nothing Had Happened - on Friday (11Jul08). It includes a musical tribute to her husband, references to previous lovers and cocaine.
The album was met with a frosty response from the media and public in France, with newspaper Liberation’s website calling it a "pale copy of her first record".
And Bruni - who once dated Sir Mick Jagger - admits she is devastated: "Of course it hurts me, but I also find it quite natural. It’s understandable that people can’t help mixing up my work as an artist and my function. Maybe they feel offended by the fact the head of state’s wife should make a record."

JENNIFER LOPEZ is training furiously to be fit enough to take part in a triathlon, just eight months after giving birth to twins.
The Latina superstar was snapped on vacation in Italy this week (ends11Jul08) with her bikini body back, following the February birth of tots Max and Emme.
And her husband Marc Anthony reveals Lopez is on a tough training schedule; on foot, on bike, and in water.
He tells TV show Extra, "Jennifer is training for a triathlon. In October." But crooner Anthony confesses he will be watching from the sidelines, instead of working up a sweat with Lopez.

NICOLE KIDMAN and KEITH URBAN will bring up their baby daughter Sunday in a new $5 million (GBP2.5 million) California mansion.
