TRUE LIES star TOM ARNOLD has urged his peers to stay out of the feud between actors unions and the movie studios - because their comments aren’t helping resolve issues and thwart a strike.
The movie star insists recent public comments made by the likes of George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Sean Penn only serve to hinder union bosses as they attempt to work out new deals on working conditions and royalties for their members.
Arnold feels sure there will be no actors strike - as long as union bosses are allowed to do their job without the input of outspoken stars.
He says, "We’ve got to let our people do what they’re doing… You know, when the actors start getting involved and taking sides and giving opinions… just let these guys at the union work it all out.
"I wish that the actors would just shut up, especially if you’re filming in Rome, and that’s not a slam on Tom Hanks, because I’m in his movie. I love him.
"Everything is going to be fine."

LATEST: Rocker PETE WENTZ fears he’s become a target for Los Angeles traffic cops because he drives around the city in an SUV with blacked-out windows.
The Fall Out Boy and his assistant were pulled over on Wednesday (09Jul08) and during the traffic stop, Wentz learned his license had expired.
He says, "I think I get profiled… because I drive a car that has black windows on it and it must look like I’m just doing bad things." Because the star wasn’t driving, police let the rocker and his pal off with a warning - but the whole incident was caught by the paparazzi, making it seem worse than it actually was.
Wentz explains, "My assistant got pulled over and they decided to make us roll down all the windows and we asked if we could drive to the studio and go behind a gated area because there’s no law to stop the paparazzi from taking pictures as close as they want."

Country star SARA EVANS feared her wedding day last month (Jun08) would be a disaster when she fell violently ill the day before the big ceremony.
As the singer was preparing to wed radio chat show presenter Jay Barker she was hit with a stomach bug and spent the eve of the nuptials throwing up.
The illness became so bad at one point, Evans went to hospital.
She recalls, "I went home, took four Advil (painkillers), had a beer and got in bed. I woke up the next morning and felt a lot better." And now Evans is thrilled she had the strength to go through with the wedding: "I married my best friend. We feel so blessed and so lucky."

MOTORHEAD star LEMMY is at the centre of a German scandal after posing for a national newspaper wearing a Nazi cap.
The heavy rocker, who collects Nazi memorabilia, wore the headgear as part of a spread to promote a recent festival appearance at the Wacken Rocks Seaside concert in Aurich.
But his choice of hat has now sparked an investigation aimed at deciding whether or not Lemmy committed a crime under German law, according to media reports in the country.
All anti-constitutional propaganda, particularly that related to the nation’s dark Nazi past, is illegal in Germany.
According to Aurich police spokesperson Sabine Kahmann, Lemmy wore a swastika on his cap but, "The decision (to prosecute) has to be made by the public prosecutor." In a recent interview about his obsession with Nazi regalia, Lemmy said, "From the beginning of time, the bad guys always had the best uniforms.

British actor JASON STATHAM has denied he is romancing GEORGE CLOONEY’s ex-girlfriend SARAH LARSON - insisting their recent dinner was not a date.

Actress ANGELINA JOLIE is considering adopting another child, less than two weeks after checking into a hospital to prepare for the birth of her twins, according to reports.
Heavily pregnant Jolie checked herself into a Nice, France hospital on 29 June (08) - where she will remain until her babies, with partner Brad Pitt, are born.
The expected additions will be the fifth and sixth children for the couple who are allegedly on a mission to add a seventh member to their family.
According to reports, the pair was so moved by the plights of children orphaned by May’s (08) devastating earthquake in China, they want to adopt a child from the region.
A source tells the National Enquirer, "Even as the birth of their twins impended, Angie and Brad were already talking adoption again. She’s devastated over the earthquake that occurred in China, she has been in constant touch with relief workers as part of her U.N. involvement - and even got her hands on photos of a few orphaned kids.
"She’s made overtures to offer a home to one, or even two China earthquake orphans, if they’re siblings." Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children, Maddox, six, Zahara, two, and Pax, four, as well as their biological two-year-old Shiloh.

New mum NICOLE KIDMAN is planning a trip to Australia - so her husband KEITH URBAN’s mother can meet their baby daughter.
Sunday Rose was born in a Nashville, Tennessee hospital on Monday morning (07Jul08).
Although Kidman’s mother Janelle and sister Antonia both travelled from Sydney, Australia, to welcome the baby, Urban’s mum Marienne was unable to leave her home in Queensland, Australia for the birth.
So the proud parents are planning to fly to Australia at the end of the month (Jul08) to enable the rest of the family to meet the new addition.
Marienne Urban says, "He (Keith) called us and said the baby had arrived safely and everybody was really well, and we were totally thrilled.
"They were very proud. You could hear it in his voice - it was just great.
"(They will be visiting Australia) possibly at the end of this month. I believe they may be coming back at the end of the month."

NICOLE KIDMAN and KEITH URBAN are "blessed and grateful" new parents, after welcoming newborn daughter SUNDAY ROSE into the world.
Kidman gave birth in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday (7Jul08), weighing six pounds, seven and a half ounces (2.93 kilograms).
Speaking exclusively to People.com, the pair reveals, "We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl. She’s an absolute delight."

Actress FLORENCE HENDERSON is pleading with former BRADY BUNCH co-star CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT to divorce his wife ADRIANNE CURRY, claiming their marriage is a sham.
Knight wed America’s Next Top Model star Curry in 2006, just one year after the pair met on the set of U.S. reality TV show The Surreal Life.
But Henderson, who played Knight’s onscreen mother in the 1970s family show, claims producers tricked him into marrying Curry in a bid to boost ratings for the couple’s spin off show My Fair Brady.
She says, "He’s like my son. His mother had passed away and he was very involved with this - this person that he met on The Surreal Life. They (VH1) were trying to actually, I think, force him to get engaged. And he called me and he said, ‘Would you come and, uh, just counsel us?’ " The 74-year-old actress adds: "I went and counselled them. But they didn’t take my advice at all. They asked if I could come and counsel them before the marriage. And I said, ‘No, but maybe I’ll come and counsel the divorce.’"

JACKASS star WEE MAN and COMEDY MADHOUSE’s WEE MATT are taking their feud to the boxing ring, after accepting a $100,000 (£50,000) deal to fight it out in Las Vegas.
The diminutive funnymen became embroiled in a heated argument on Wednesday (10Jul08), when Wee Man - real name Jason Bryant Acuña - and Wee Matt appeared on air with Nevada DJ Chet Buchanan.
Acuna is angry at Wee Matt for "getting laid because girls think he is me" a claim Wee Matt denies.
The pair will get its chance to do battle after taking up the cash offer by Sin City entertainer Jeff Beacher, reports the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix.
The boxing match will be part of the relaunch of Beacher’s Comedy Madhouse show at the Mirage Hotel & Casino on Halloween (31Oct08).
And Wee Matt is confident he will emerge victorious, saying, "I’m going to kick that liar’s ass.
"It’s not my fault I’m skinnier, shorter and better-looking! He’s just jealous! I’m going to kill him."

Actress LUCY LIU is keen to star in a third CHARLIE’S ANGELS movie - because she is desperate to work with close pals DREW BARRYMORE and CAMERON DIAZ again.

LATEST: CHRISTIE BRINKLEY has denied claims she regrets marrying her estranged husband PETER COOK, calling the settlement in their high-drama divorce trial "a very bittersweet moment." After eight days of testimony in a New York court, the pair’s agreement was announced on Thursday (10Jul08) morning, awarding Brinkley sole custody of the former couple’s two children.
The 54-year-old former model told reporters she "can’t really regret her marriage," adding, "It really is the death of a marriage, but it’s also, I think, a new start for all of us and I’m very pleased with the results today." She says: "I was here fighting for custody. I think a mother’s greatest fear is somebody trying to take her children, trying to take custody of her children. That’s what I was up against. And so I’ve won custody and decision-making, and that’s really all I ever wanted." Over the course of the trial, testimony included revelations of Cook’s affair with teenager Diana Bianchi and his alleged $3,000 (£1,500) monthly porn habit, of which Brinkley remarked: "I was trying to settle the day I learned about the absolute truth about the facts, and I wanted to settle but unfortunately we could not reach an agreement until 6 o’clock this morning." In addition to receiving sole custody of the couple’s children - Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10 - Brinkley has been awarded ownership of the pair’s 18 properties in the Hamptons.
She also agreed to pay Cook $2.1 million (£1.05million) to Cook, 49, who told reporters of the outcome: "I got everything I’ve been asking for two years." Brinkley and Cook married in September 1996.

Rapper-turned-actress QUEEN LATIFAH’s summer vacation came to screeching halt when she was injured during a motorcycling accident, according to reports.
Latifah rented a motor scooter to tour the U.S. Virgin island of St. Thomas in May (08). But the star’s tropical getaway was cut short when she lost control of the vehicle and "went flying," reports the National Enquirer.
A source tells the tabloid, "She’s lucky she wasn’t killed. Fortunately, there weren’t any cars or other scooters behind her when the accident occurred." Latifah injured her right elbow and knee in the crash, according to reports, but refused to seek treatment at a nearby hospital.
The source adds: "Luckily, she didn’t break any bones. But she was suffering and was prescribed painkillers."

BUSTA RHYMES is hoping to collaborate with troubled British singer AMY WINEHOUSE.
The rapper is reluctant to work with America’s big name artists, preferring to go into the studio with someone relatively new to the music scene.
