LOCAL DELICACY LEAVES A NASTY TASTE IN BLAIR’S MOUTH
Actress SELMA BLAIR was left horrified on a recent trip to Mexico, after tucking into a local delicacy - worm tacos.
The 36-year-old was promoting the new Hellboy sequel with Mexican director Guillermo del Toro, when she was persuaded to try the ‘treat’.
She says, "I had worm tacos. It was a mezcal worm, the one you see at the bottom of the tequila bottle. It’s Guillermo’s favourite thing.
"They are fried and (they) tasted fine with guacamole. And then I thought about it! So gross.
"Guillermo’s wife doesn’t kiss him for a week after he eats these worms."
