MEAT LOAF SILENCES CRITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:42 am

Rock legend MEAT LOAF has hit back at critics who slammed his performance at a recent U.K. concert - insisting he is still recovering from an illness.
Scores of fans walked out of the Bat Out of Hell hitmaker’s gig in Hampshire, England on Sunday night (06Jul08) before the show’s finish, complaining his vocals were below par.
But David Cox, a spokesman for the 60-year-old, claims there were "no problems" with the sound system and insists rumours the star was drunk are false because "he does not drink". Cox adds, "Since last year he has had vocal training to get his voice back up to scratch and his real fans will have heard that. "Meat Loaf put on the kind of fantastic show fans have come to expect." Meat Loaf turned fans against him at a show in Vancouver, Canada last year (Nov07) when his voice gave up mid-song. The acute laryngitis led him to axe a string of dates in the U.K.
He was later diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal chords. He also recently vowed never to play at another "stupid" English music festival, because the crowds are too rowdy.
