STARR’S CHILDHOOD HOUSE REJECTED BY ENGLISH HERITAGE
LATEST: Former BEATLE RINGO STARR’s childhood home in Liverpool, England is to be demolished.
The rocker’s former house in the city’s Madryn Street is all set for the bulldozer after officials at the English Heritage association decided against listing the building as a national treasure.
English Heritage executives argue the home has no real links to the Beatles, because Starr moved out of the property when he was four.
And Starr can’t call on his fellow Liverpudlians to save the house - they’re still fuming about disparaging comments he made about the city earlier this year (08).
Starr told a British chat show host there was "nothing" he missed about the city.
His comments also prompted protestors to behead a topiary sculpture of the singer.
