STARR GIVES PEACE A CHANCE ON HIS 68TH BIRTHDAY
RINGO STARR celebrated his 68th birthday on Monday (07Jul08) by joining a global peace and love initiative he sparked.
The former Beatle asked fans to celebrate his birthday by taking a moment in their day to pray for peace and love throughout the world.
At noon in time zones across the world, Starr asked supporters to put down their pens and shopping bags and "give peace a chance".
Starr said, "Wherever you are in the world - if you’re in the office, on the bus, shopping - put your peace and love hands up. I’ll be doing it."
