COLLINS COMEBACK COMPLETE WITH GLASTONBURY SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:00 am

Scottish singer-songwriter EDWYN COLLINS served up the most emotional performance on the first day of this year’s (08) Glastonbury Festival in England after battling back from illness to perform at the event.
The former Orange Juice frontman almost died after suffering two brain haemorrhages in 2005, and he has only just started performing again.
But he promised himself he’d be fit for his Glastonbury showdown and thrilled fans with his back catalogue.
Collins was joined onstage by Aztec Camera star Roddy Frame, who has been a constant companion during the Rip It Up singer’s recent shows.
The rocker recently revealed his biggest problem onstage is remembering the lyrics to his most famous songs.
He said, "After my stroke I’d lost all the songs I ever wrote. I could recognise them as mine when I heard them on the stereo but I couldn’t remember any lyrics." But there were no signs he’d forgotten anything when he performed at Glastonbury on Friday (27Jun08).
