PARTON WON’T BE PLAYING GLASTONBURY
DOLLY PARTON will not be making a surprise performance at British music festival Glastonbury, her representative has confirmed.
The country queen was rumoured to be a last-minute addition to the line-up at this weekend’s (27-29Jun08) event, joining the likes of Amy Winehouse and Jay-Z in the list of performers.
But a spokesperson for Parton has denied the reports - because she’s already scheduled to play elsewhere.
The rep says, "Despite reports today, Dolly Parton is not appearing at this weekend’s Glastonbury festival.
"She is tonight starting the UK leg of her world tour in Glasgow, playing in Manchester tomorrow night and a second show in Glasgow on Sunday night."
