IDOL PRODUCERS SUED OVER ROYALTIES DISPUTE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:49 am

Officials at America’s leading musicians’ union have filed a lawsuit against hit talent show AMERICAN IDOL over royalties payments.
The American Federation of Musicians claims the show’s producers violated a collective bargaining agreement by failing to pay musicians in the programme’s house band royalties for rebroadcasts of episodes.
The union bosses also claim they were not informed of plans to use their members to re-record new music for season highlights.
