A MAGICAL NIGHT FOR HOWELL
Movie star C. THOMAS HOWELL can add illusionist to his resume after winning a televised magic contest.
The Outsiders star was among the celebrities competing for bragging rights and a $100,000 (£50,000) prize on VH1 show Celebra Cadabra.
His energetic performance in the final, staged at Las Vegas’ Steve Wyrick Theatre, gave him the edge over rival actor Hal Sparks.
Judges were particularly impressed with Howell’s showmanship.
The actor ended his performance by making an assistant disappear while levitating in mid air.
The final aired in America on Thursday night (12Jun08).
