PEARL JAM TO PERFORM WITH JACK WHITE?
PEARL JAM star MIKE McCREADY has named the one musician he would most like to "jam" with - THE WHITE STRIPES rocker JACK WHITE.
Guitarist McCready is due to perform with his Pearl Jam bandmates at Tennessee’s forthcoming Bonnaroo Festival - where White’s band The Raconteurs are also scheduled to appear.
And although the grunge group have stated they will not be premiering any new material at the gig, McCready insists he is open to the idea of collaborating onstage with one of the event’s other performers.
He says, "I’d love to have Jack White up. I just, I think he’s just a phenomenal guitar player and I’d love to see him play up close. I’ve seen the White Stripes in Europe, but it was kind of far away.
"But I’d love to have him up there and jam because he’s got a killer voice and he’s a great lead player too. So that would be exciting to me." The Manchester, Tennessee event takes place from Thursday, 12 June (08), to Sunday, 15 June, with Pearl Jam set to take the stage on Saturday night, reports Blabbermouth.net.
