Scottish DJ CALVIN HARRIS has started work on his second album, two months after losing a laptop containing an entire record at London’s Heathrow airport.
The Acceptable in the 80s hitmaker lost a bag, during containing the only copy of his sophomore LP after returning from a trip to America in March (08).
When it was eventually returned, the music was ruined, forcing Harris to start from scratch.
But just weeks on, the 24-year-old is already well on the way to creating a new and even better album.
He writes on his blog, "At the moment I have about ten songs 30 per cent finished, and six songs 60 per cent finished, full vocals count for 40 per cent. It’s going to be awesome, I’m very excited.

British opera star and brain tumour survivor RUSSELL WATSON will spend the rest of his life fearing a relapse of the deadly disease.
The singer has twice beaten a pituitary gland tumour that first appeared in 2005 and returned in 2007. Watson survived a life-threatening operation last year (07), but surgeons were unable to remove all the tumour, and he confesses the possibility of a second relapse haunts him.
He says, "I know that I’ll never be able to just get on with my life again.
It’s always going to be there… there’s always going to be that fear".

Actress SALMA HAYEK has hit out at aggressive photographers - because they continue to jeopardise the health of her baby.
The 41-year-old star gave birth to daughter Valentina last year (21Sep07) with partner Francois-Henri Pinault - and she’s shocked by the lengths snappers will go to to get photos of the star with her family to sell to the press.
She says, "I was hounded when I was pregnant. And even more since I’ve had the baby. They are parked outside of your house and they will not move for months. I didn’t leave my house for nearly three months… I’ve gotten hit with a camera before." And Hayek has grown increasingly concerned since a February (08) clash with photographers nearly sent her daughter flying to the pavement from her caretaker’s arms.
She recalls, "First I see them attacking me with the camera and the flashes.
Now she starts screaming, the baby. Then they push the nanny, she was going to the floor.
"It was so disturbing. I didn’t know if they wanted to get the picture or they wanted to push the baby and get me crazy. I’m not sure because it was almost - it was really deliberate. It’s a baby."

Actress LINDSAY LOHAN was hospitalised on Thursday (29May08) after reportedly falling victim to her chronic asthma.
Lohan, 21, was spotted leaving a Los Angeles emergency room with best friend Samantha Ronson in the late hours after returning to the city from New York.
Sources tell website TMZ.com the Mean Girls star spent over two hours in Century City Hospital’s E.R. after enduring the six-hour bicoastal flight.
According to reports, the actress began to experience discomfort in her chest and asked flight attendants for a warm compress to ease her pain.
But she caused chaos among other passengers - including actor Stephen Baldwin - as she moved around the plane so she could sit next to Ronson.

ALEC BALDWIN, SALLY FIELD and tennis star STEFFI GRAFF are among a long list of celebrities whose confidential tax files were reportedly uncovered illegally by an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax examiner.
John Snyder was arrested in Kentucky on Thursday (29May08) after allegedly peering into the financial records of over 200 celebrities and professional athletes.
Snyder, 56, has been employed by the U.S. government agency since 1981.
He faces one year in jail and $250,000 (£125,000) in fines if he is charged.

LATEST: DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY has been released from hospital, just days after undergoing an emergency stomach operation.
The 71-year-old Welsh star was admitted to a hospital in Monaco, France where she now resides - with abdominal pains last week (ends23May08).
But Bassey’s spokesman Paul Carey says she is now at home "resting up and on the road to a full recovery".
The Big Spender hitmaker is expected to be back to full health in time for her performance at the former South African president Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert in London on 27th June (08).

LATEST: Rapper 50 CENT is "eager" to discover the authorities’ findings surrounding the fire that engulfed his New York home, endangering his son and ex-girlfriend.
The Long Island estate - owned by 50 Cent and occupied by his former lover Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son Marquise - was set ablaze in what New York cops have called a "highly suspicious" inferno that raged at 5am (EST) on Friday (30May08).
The home has been at the centre of a bitter dispute between the hip-hop star - real name Curtis Jackson - and Tompkins since last month’s (Apr08) ruling that she and Marquise must leave the rapper’s mansion by the end of 2008.
The star’s spokesperson says, "Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property. He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely.
"He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings." And Tompkins - who split from the rapper in 2003 - has fuelled reports a vengeful party is to blame after revealing she heard "someone" come into the house at 4am, an hour prior to the incident.
Police have sent sniffer dogs to search the rubble for a substance that may have been used as an igniter.
However, the In Da Club hitmaker is not being treated as a suspect, reports TMZ.com.

Rap mogul-turned-designer SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS is so impressed by DAVID BECKHAM’S style, he wants to collaborate with the soccer ace on a fashion line.
The rapper and the sports star have become close friends in recent years, and Combs was even spotted partying into the early hours with Beckham and his pop star wife Victoria while visiting London last year (07).
But Combs - who has his own Sean John clothing line - admits he would like to turn their friendship into a business collaboration and launch a fashion project together.

ANGELINA JOLIE has spoken out to dismiss a flurry of reports suggesting she has given birth to twins in the south of France.
Two false alarms on Friday (30May08) sent the media into a spin, with one outlet even claiming she had delivered two baby girls and named them Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane - honouring Jolie’s late mother Marcheline and her partner Brad Pitt’s mum Jane.
The coverage has prompted a spokesperson for the 32-year-old to come forward and confirm the actress is still pregnant.
The rep tells People.com, "Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France."

KISS star PAUL STANLEY was flattered British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS name-checked his band in a song - but insists he has no plans to return the favour any time soon.
Williams - who sang, "Every morning when I wake up, I look like Kiss, but without the make-up" in his 1999 hit Strong - joins a long list of artists who have mentioned the face-painting rockers in their lyrics, including Lenny Kravitz, Weezer, Jimmy Buffet and Kid Rock.
And singer/guitarist Stanley insists he was impressed with the British pop star’s name-drop, despite Williams’ fear the metal rockers would hate the lyric.
He says, "I liked it. When I ran into him in Los Angeles, I think he thought I was gonna deck (punch) him. But I liked it. "But, as big as Robbie Williams is, he’s not in one of our songs."

British rockers MUSE have ruled out following RADIOHEAD and releasing their next album online - although they admit they are looking for a more "organic" way to share their music with fans.
Drummer Dom Howard revealed the band’s plans for their next LP, claiming they wanted to move away from the traditional CD format.
And he hinted at the possibility of releasing new songs as individual downloads, rather than saved up for an album.
But Howard insists they won’t be copying Radiohead’s idea and making their disc only available on the internet.
He tells BBC Radio 1, "We won’t be doing the same thing as Radiohead, no.
"Everyone is plucking ideas out of the sky and any band can decide how they release an album. It’s all good, I’m all for it.
"The traditional format of releasing an album on CD is not the most common thing a new music buyer or listener would typically go and get from a shop these days.
"Not that we’re against the concept of releasing an album in the traditional format at all. It’s just the way the world and technology is evolving, it’s presenting a canvas to do whatever you want and just release music as and when it is ready to release. It can happen much more organically.
"If we group a bunch of tracks together, it’s because they’re meant to be together as a unit." Last year (07), Radiohead released In Rainbows as an Internet download and allowed fans to name their own price for the album.

The actor son of late Hollywood star ANTHONY QUINN has been arrested for domestic abuse Platoon star Francesco Quinn was arrested in Van Nuys, California on 1 May (08) and spent a night in jail, before being released on $50,000 (£25,000) bail after allegedly beating up his wife of 16 years, Julie McCann.
He was charged with a felony, which was later dropped to a misdemeanour, reports website TMZ.com.
Francesco is one of two-time Oscar winner Anthony Quinn’s 13 children.

Oscar-winning actress HOLLY HUNTER will be honoured on Friday (30May08) with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 50-year-old will unveil her star in a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard to mark her long career as a movie and TV actress.

50 CENT’s ex-girlfriend and 10-year-old son have been rescued from a burning house in New York.
The fire at the house - owned by 50 Cent and occupied by his former lover Shaniqua Tompkins and their son Marquise - broke out at 5am (EST) on Friday (30May08) .
An off-duty officer in Dix Hills, Long Island was on hand to rescue four other victims. They were taken to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
Authorities believe the cause of the inferno is "highly suspicious" and have sent sniffer dogs to search the rubble for a substance that may have been used as an igniter.
The In Da Club hitmaker is not being treated as a suspect, reports TMZ.com.
The home has been at the centre of a bitter dispute between the hip-hop star and Tompkins. Last month (Apr08), a judge ruled that Tompkins and Marquise must leave the hip-hop star’s mansion by the end of 2008.
The couple split in 2003.

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has denied he will reunite with his former BEATLE bandmate RINGO STARR at an upcoming homecoming gig.
The pair was rumoured to be reuniting during McCartney’s performance at the Capital of Culture concert in their native Liverpool this Saturday (31May08).
But McCartney insists Starr will not be joining him onstage, saying, "That was never going to be on the cards." Instead, McCartney will reportedly collaborate with the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl. Other bands due to play at the event include the Kaiser Chiefs and the Zutons.
