SEAN LEVERT DIED NATURALLY, CORONER RULES
LATEST: R&B singer SEAN LEVERT died of natural causes, an Ohio coroner has ruled.
The 39-year-old son of The O’Jays star Eddie Levert collapsed in his cell at Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland on 30 March (08).
He was taken to the local Lutheran Hospital, but was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
And in autopsy results published on Thursday (29May08), the Cuyahoga County Coroner found that Levert suffered from a variety of illnesses, including heart disease and high blood sugar. The report claims there was no suggestion of foul play or trauma involved in his passing, reports website TMZ.com.
Levert had been serving a 22-month prison sentence for failing to pay $89,025 (£44,513) in child support to the mother of his kids.
