The pop superstar sings America The Beautiful while looking lovingly at her son, who is draped in an American flag and cradled in his mother’s arms in the new commercial aimed at urging youths to vote in the upcoming presidential elections.
Aguilera admits she didn’t hesitate to include her son in the ad: "This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one, and I was so proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time." The ad will debut in America later this summer (08).

BILL COSBY is selling off his famous sweaters for charity.
The U.S. comedian has teamed up with auction management agency Auction Cause to offer his legendary winterwear to fans via an upcoming eBay.com online auction.
Cosby wore the multi-coloured sweaters on episodes of The Cosby Show, which ran from 1984 to 1992. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation charity.
The Cosby sweaters will be sold at eBay Giving Works, eBay’s dedicated program for charity listings, from 2 June (08) to 12 June (08).
The Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation is a non-profit educational organisation established by the Cosby family in 1997 following the murder of Ennis Cosby, Bill’s son.
The funnyman’s daughter, Evin, inspired her parents to auction off the famous TV jumpers after coming across them in a closet.
She says, "My mother and father were going through a storage closet, and I happened to be there and pounced on these sweaters.
"I told them that the price of what some of these sweaters might sell for could make a big difference in the lives of thousands of children."

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE star MELISSA GILBERT has signed up to star in a new musical version of the beloved TV show that made her a child star.
Gilbert, 44, played Laura Ingalls Wilder in the long-running 1970s and 80s series. She will return to the Prairie to play her former character’s mother in the touring production, which will kick off in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this summer (08).
The new role follows a developmental workshop presentation last year (07), in which Gilbert starred alongside Patrick Swayze, who played Pa.
Swayze, who is battling pancreatic cancer, will not reprise the role.

Former BOND girl DENISE RICHARDS has explained the bruise marks that have started appearing on her back - she has become the latest celebrity to turn to cupping to cure a bad back.
The actress prompted concern at a press function recently when it appeared her back was covered in welts and bruises - but she insists the marks were left from a cupping session.
The alternative relief therapy, which is also used by Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears, features heated glass pots which are placed on the skin to draw out toxins.
And Richards swears by the process: "I find that I feel better when I do it.
It doesn’t hurt that much, but it looks like someone took a baseball bat to me."

The man behind some of STAR TREK’s most beloved episodes has died in Palm Desert, California.
Joseph Pevney, a former Broadway star and 1940s actor, died of age-related causes on 18 May (08). He was 96.
After directing movies like Man of A Thousand Faces, Pevney turned his attention to TV work and directed episodes of popular series like The Munsters, The Fugitive, The Incredible Hulk and Fantasy Island, among others.
But it was the 14 episodes of Star Trek he directed that made him beloved of Trekkers. Pevney shares the record of the mostcredited Star Trek episode director with Marc Daniels.
He is most famous for taking charge of Star Trek’s first fullcomedy episode The Trouble With Tribbles.
As a film director, Pevney also is credited for Frank Sinatra’s Meet Danny Wilson and 3 Ring Circus, which featured comedy doubleact Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin.

PETE WENTZ commissioned an artist to build a huge bumblebee out of Lego as a wedding day treat for his new wife ASHLEE SIMPSON.
The Fall Out Boy rocker asked Nathan Sawaya to make the symbolic creature out of 18,000 Lego bricks.
Sawaya tells E!online.com, "In Hindu myth, Kama, the god of love, has a bow and arrows, and the bow string is made up of bees.
"In the ancient Greek world the bee symbolised the soul because they migrated in swarms. And the Roman god of love, Cupid, is often pictured with bees or being stung.
"I made this bee for a boy who wanted to give his girl a special wedding gift.
"They are a fun couple as evidenced by their Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding." The couple, who wed in Encino, California on 17 May (08), has just confirmed Simpson is pregnant with her first child.

LATEST: The producers of the planned POINT BREAK sequel are refusing to take no for an answer from the original film’s star PATRICK SWAYZE.
The cancer-stricken Ghost star recently insisted he would not be part of a sequel to the cult 1991 surf movie, but the producers of the new film desperately want him to change his mind.
A source close to the executives behind Point Break: Indo tells Life & Style magazine, "The producers are trying to figure out a way - any way - to get Patrick in the movie.
"One day, two days, a week of shooting - whatever they can get Patrick for, they’ll make it work. He was so pivotal to the first movie." And Swayze, who announced in March (08) he’s battling pancreatic cancer, will be part of the sequel whether he’s actually in the film or not.
The insider adds, "There will be flashbacks and references to the old plot lines and characters. So, regardless, Patrick will be featured in the movie. It wouldn’t be the same without him."

Rapper LIL WAYNE is facing a lawsuit from a songwriter who claims he sampled one of her songs without permission.
The star, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, uses Karma Ann Swanepoel’s folk track Once on his hit song I Feel Like Dying.
Wayne’s record label has been attempting to secure a deal with Swanepoel allowing him to release the song, reports TMZ.com.
But she is angry the track has appeared on websites including MySpace and YouTube before an agreement has been reached - and has filed suit in Louisiana.

Rapper KANYE WEST has been handed control of his late mother’s estate, six months after her sudden death.
A Los Angeles court ruled on Thursday (29May08) that Kanye and his financial manager Shawn Gee be co-executors of Donda’s estate - valued at less than $250,000 (GBP125,000).
West died in November (07) from complications following a cosmetic surgery procedure. She was 58.
Donda, who had retired as a doctor and was managing West’s affairs when she died, didn’t leave a will.

Keyboard player BUTCH TAYLOR has quit the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND on the eve of the group’s North American summer tour.
No reason has been given for his departure, but the band’s publicist insists Taylor will not be replaced for the dates which begin on Thursday night (29May08) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In a post on the group’s website, the band states, "We are saddened by this sudden news but he has our full support. He’s given so much to us and our audience through the years and he will be missed."

HANSON star ZAC HANSON has become a father for the first time - his wife KATE has given birth to a baby boy.
John Ira Shepherd Hanson was born on Tuesday (27May08) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, weighing in at a healthy 3.75 kilograms (eight pounds and four ounces).
Hanson, 22, tells People.com, "I am so overjoyed. There iis not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time." New mum Kate adds, "Shepherd is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive. We’re already enjoying every second of this great adventure." A Las Vegas promoter has poured scorn on reports MICHAEL JACKSON is planning a Las Vegas spectacular - insisting the pop superstar is incapable of performing ever again.
Jackson prompted speculation he would headline his own Sin City residency when an equity group linked to the Las Vegas Hilton helped him save his Neverland Ranch from foreclosure.
He has also made a number of personal appearances in the Nevada city of late - including at an Ultimate Fighting Championship match on Saturday (24May08).
But promoter Jack Wishna - who helped Celine Dion secure her successful stint in Las Vegas - insists Jackson isn’t fit enough to return to the stage.

He might drop by to wave at guests, or do a dance on top of a limo, but a longterm show? That dream will never come true, I’m afraid."

The In Da Club hitmaker - real name Curtis Jackson - will front a forthcoming MTV show which will see 16 wannabes go head-to-head in an Apprentice-style programme as they try to prove that they are the most savvy and street-smart.
