LATEST: AMY WINEHOUSE has confirmed she has been working on the title track from forthcoming BOND movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE - following weeks of speculation about the track.
The troubled star was rumoured to have been dropped as the film’s official musical muse after DJ Mark Ronson told reporters he had scrapped his 007 collaboration with the singer because she was not "ready" to work on music after a recent return to her erratic ways. But Winehouse has now confirmed that she has in fact completed the song and is just waiting to get the green light from movie bosses over whether the song will be used in the film, which is due in cinemas later this year (08).
She says, "I’ve written the song. If they like it, they like it. If they don’t, they don’t." And Ronson adds, "If I talk about it (James Bond star) Daniel Craig will whack me in the eyes. Amy wrote the song on an acoustic guitar. It was my job to help with the arrangement and realise the sound we were going for. So that was my role."

The woman who tried to sue COLIN FARRELL for sexual harassment has been cleared of prostitution and loitering charges.
Dessarae Bradford was exonerated from all hooker accusations in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday (20May08).
Delighted Bradford says, "The jury took a little over an hour to reach their unanimous decision, and I have been cleared of all charges." Since her arrest in November (07), Bradford has reported the officer who landed her in trouble.
She says, "He is still now under investigation by internal affairs because of this matter.
"My brilliant attorney, Jessica Canada, and I are now preparing the civil court documents required to now sue the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) for $20 million, because of the public defamation, false arrest, profiling, racism and other police misconducts that I experienced and that I am still emotionally disturbed by.
"The court papers will be filed against the LAPD this month."

LATEST: AMY WINEHOUSE has refuted reports she is set to travel to Israel to receive rehabilitative treatment to kick her alleged drug addiction.
According to the Jewish Chronicle, the troubled singer was reportedly ordered by her management to undergo a "very short, intensive and effective treatment" costing $12,800 (£6,400) at the western Asian country’s Barzilai Medical Centre.
But Chris Goodman, a spokesman for the singer, insists the 24-year-old Rehab hitmaker has "no plans" to fly to Israel.
He says, "These are just old rumours. She’s going back in the studio and has absolutely no plans to go abroad for treatment."

LILY ALLEN has dismissed speculation she has reconciled with her ex-boyfriend ED SIMONS - insisting she is not "some failed baby machine trying to win my man back".
The couple split earlier this year (08) shortly after the Smile singer suffered a miscarriage and lost the pair’s baby.
Allen fuelled speculation she had got back together with the Chemical Brothers star after they were photographed having lunch together earlier this week (beg19May08).

LATEST: Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL will face criminal charges over an incident on a British Airways (BA) plane - which saw her accused of abusing a police officer.
The catwalk beauty was arrested at London’s Heathrow airport last month (Apr08) following a dispute over her luggage, which was lost in the airport’s recent Terminal 5 baggage handling fiasco.
Campbell allegedly spat at an officer as she was handcuffed and hauled off the BA jet, which was about to take off en route to Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old was released on bail on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and is now expected to face charges over the outburst.
Details of the charges are expected to be released next week (beg26May08).
It is not the fist time Campbell has found herself in trouble with the law over her fiery temper - last year (07) she was sentenced to community service at New York’s sanitation department after she was convicted of assaulting her maid with her Blackberry cell phone.

Soccer ace DAVID BECKHAM has seen off competition from ASHTON KUTCHER and RYAN PHILLIPPE to land the title of America’s sexiest man.
England star Beckham was voted top of a poll of male celebrities by U.S.
magazine OK! - which aimed to find America’s top "man candy".
The 33-year-old took first place, while Hollywood hunks Kutcher and Phillippe only managed eighth and 26th respectively. Phillippe was also beaten by American Idol judge Simon Cowell who was voted number 25, despite being nearly 20 years older than the actor.

LINDSAY LOHAN has once again been forced to deny she is a lesbian after she was photographed apparently kissing her close friend SAMANTHA RONSON.
The duo - who have kept gossips guessing about the nature of their relationship for the last six months - were seen repeatedly embracing and cuddling up to one another at a party on rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ yacht in Cannes, France during the early hours of Friday morning (23May08).

LATEST: Actor CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE is recovering after undergoing surgery on his shattered arm following America’s DANCING WITH THE STARS finale.
The Chilean hunk tore a muscle in his bicep during a samba on the reality TV contest several weeks ago and has been forced to wear a brace on his arm for the subsequent dance-offs.
The 34-year-old checked himself into hospital on Friday (23May08) for the operation to rebuild his arm and is now recuperating at his Los Angeles home.
Doctors now expect him to make a full recovery.

DIRT star LAURA ALLEN is expecting her first child with model husband BRUCE WEYMAN.

Members of Russia’s Communist party are outraged about the group’s portrayal in new movie INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL - and are calling for the film to be banned in the country.
The action blockbuster sees Cate Blanchett play the leader of a Russian communist organisation running amok in the U.S. in 1957 - and the picture has angered members of Russia’s present day Communist party, who insist the movie provides an inaccurate portrayal of the political party in the 1950s.
Members of the party have spoken out against the film - insisting it will give young people a warped view of history - and called for the movie to be banned to prevent "ideological sabotage".
Communist party chief Sergei Malinkovich says, "Our movie-goers are teenagers who are completely unaware of what happened in 1957.
"They will go to the cinema and will be sure that in 1957 we made trouble for the United States and almost started a nuclear war. It’s rubbish.
"In 1957 the Communist party did not run with crystal skulls throughout the U.S. Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?"

LATEST: The husband of actress NATASCHA McELHONE died of a fatal heart condition, according to the results of a post-mortem examination.
Plastic surgeon Martin Kelly was found slumped on the doorstep of the couple’s London home on Tuesday (20May08) night and died later in hospital.
The tragic news came just a day after they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.
Police initially treated Kelly’s sudden death as unexplained, but a spokesman has now revealed the 43-year-old died as the result of a dilated cardiomyopathy - a condition where the heart becomes enlarged and unable to pump blood.
The 38-year-old actress, who is pregnant with their third child, has halted filming on hit U.S. show Californication to fly back to London from Los Angeles with the couple’s two sons Theodore, eight, and Otis, five.

MOTLEY CRUE star TOMMY LEE is to lend his voice to a new cartoon - based on his life story.
The rocker has signed up to take part in the making of The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx, which will be produced by the team behind the 2007 film Blades of Glory.
The Fox TV show is currently under development but is said to follow a rocker who tries to balance his experiences in a band with his calmer home life - but is constantly distracted by his tattoos which come to life and attempt to lead him astray.

THE BEATLES original drummer PETE BEST hopes to reunite with his former bandmate PAUL McCARTNEY - as he hasn’t seen the star for over 40 years. The 66-year-old musician was part of the Fab Four from 1960 to 1962, before Ringo Starr was drafted into the band to take his place.
Best insists he was good friends with the rest of the band before his departure - and hopes that he and McCartney will one day be able to revive their relationship.
He says, "I would like to see Paul one more time in my life, just to catch up. Talk about our kids and grandkids, compare notes on where we’ve been and where we’re going.
"It was Paul who actually talked the others into letting me into the band because he thought I was a good fit - and they couldn’t find another decent drummer at the time.
"You know, as old friends go, people move in their own directions and you lose touch. We were kids back when we really hung out."

IRON MAIDEN frontman BRUCE DICKINSON proved his zero tolerance to drugs - by scolding a fan for smoking marijuana during one of the band’s gigs.
The Run To The Hills hitmakers were halfway through the second concert of their current world tour in San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday (21May08) when Dickinson spotted someone smoking drugs in the audience.

Documentary maker MICHAEL MOORE has landed a big boost for his Traverse City Film Festival in Michigan - MADONNA’s coming home for it.
The pop superstar’s I am Because We Are documentary, about Aids orphans in Malawi, will headline the alternative film festival in August (08).
And the Material Girl will be there in person.
Thrilled Moore says, "Madonna will present the film, watch it with the audience and conduct a question-and-answer session afterwards.
"It’s a huge coup for the Film Festival, and for Traverse City." And the hard-hitting documentarian, who has taken the U.S. medical profession and President George W. Bush to task in his films, has nothing but praise for Madonna’s new release, which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
He adds, "She spent the past couple of years filming what the people go through, and the efforts to help them. I saw the film about a month ago. It’s a fantastic, powerful movie." Madonna produced and narrated the documentary after travelling to Malawi, where she met toddler David Banda. She and husband Guy Ritchie are adopting the child.

BEN AFFLECK was so worried his views on the crisis in the Sudan would not be enough to spark change in the region he jetted off to Africa to get a closer look.
The movie star has just returned from a fact-finding trip to the Sudan after adopting the refugee problem and ongoing war in the area as a new cause.
United Nations officials advised Affleck to scrap his plans to fly to the war zone, telling him he would be putting his life at risk.
Speaking about his decision to follow in the footsteps of stars like George Clooney and Don Cheadle, the Daredevil star has told CNN, "I got really interested in southern Sudan for a number of reasons. I think it’s a fascinating place going through some really hard times.
"I wanted to really feel like I understood the place and learn as much as I could about it, before I got into trying to be an advocate and kind of running my mouth about it.
"I got into doing some learning, talking to experts, travelling there." Unshaved and tired, Affleck told CNN he has been left scarred by what he witnessed on his trip: "It was terrible. I’ve never seen anything like it."

In a recent British tabloid article, Edmonds was quoted referring to Diddy as her new man - but she insists the latest romantic link is all wrong.
A statement from Edmonds’ publicist reads, "Tracey Edmonds never uttered the words quoted… The story is a complete fabrication." The Daily Mirror reported that Edmonds, 41, called Diddy "the man for me," adding the rapper had "whisked me off my feet." A representative for Diddy has also denied the pair is an item.

Marvel Comics executives are set for another big-screen outing, after giving the go-ahead to turn the RUNAWAYS series into a movie.
Series co-creator Brian K. Vaughan and artist Adrian Alphona have agreed to write the film - about a group of teens who run away after discovering they are the offspring of supervillains.
The runaways then discover their own superpowers and proceed to challenge their parents in an attempt to correct the past.
According to EmpireOnline.com, Runaways is still in the early stages of development and, as a result, a shooting date is yet to be confirmed.
