CLINT EASTWOOD has laughed off claims he is bringing his legendary DIRTY HARRY character back for a new movie - insisting the grizzled cop would be far too old.
It was recently reported the 77-year-old wanted to kill off Harry Callahan in one more movie, 37 years after the character first graced the big screen.
But Eastwood - who will introduce a Cannes Film Festival screening of 1971’s Dirty Harry on Thursday (22May08) - insists Callahan would be long retired by now.
He says, "Dirty Harry would not be in a police department at my age."
