STONE’S BUSH FILM GETS A START DATE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:38 pm

OLIVER STONE’s GEORGE W. BUSH movie will be released while the U.S. President is still in office.
Lionsgate studio bosses have confirmed W will start filming in Louisiana on Monday (12May08), and the movie will hit cinemas in October (08) - just before the general election to find Bush’s successor.
W stars Josh Brolin as George W. Bush, Elizabeth Banks First Lady Laura Bush, James Cromwell as George Herbert Walker Bush and Ellen Burstyn as Barbara Bush.
The all-star cast also features Thandie Newton (Condoleezza Rice), Jeffrey Wright (Colin Powell), Scott Glenn (Donald Rumsfeld) and Ioan Gruffud (Tony Blair).
In a new statement about the explosive film, director Stone says, "The impact of George W. Bush’s presidency will be felt for many years to come.
"Despite a meteoric, almost illogical rise to power, and a tremendous influence on the world, we don’t really know much about Mr. Bush beyond the controlled images we’ve been allowed to see on TV.
"This movie’s taking a bold stab at looking behind that curtain. I’m real pleased that Lionsgate has the independence necessary to bring this provocative story to an American audience."
