Hollywood couple KATE HUDSON and OWEN WILSON are reportedly engaged - after the FOOL’S GOLD star was spotted sporting a diamond ring on her wedding finger on Thursday (08May08).
The blonde beauty was seen wearing the huge sparkler outside a Boston, Massachusetts restaurant , fuelling speculation the on-off couple is taking their relationship to the next level.
The pair met on the set of 2006 movie You, Me & Dupree and were romantically linked later that year (06), after Hudson split from her husband of six years, The Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson.
The couple parted ways in June 2007, just two months before Wilson’s alleged suicide attempt, with rumours claiming the end of their relationship was the reason behind the attempt on his life.
However, in recent months the stars have appeared to rekindle their love, and spent Easter together in March (08) in Miami, Florida.
They were also spotted enjoying a lunch date with Wilson’s parents on Hudson’s 29th birthday last month (Apr08), where onlookers described the pair as "lovey-dovey".
A source tells Britain’s News Of The World newspaper, "Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she’s the woman he wants to be with for ever." The source adds, "The engagement is a natural step for them both."

Veteran rocker ROD STEWART is desperate to be a film star - after watching THE ROLLING STONES’ MARTIN SCORSESE-directed movie SHINE A LIGHT.
The Maggie May star would love to emulate his ageing contemporaries and follow in their footsteps by starring in his very own documentary-style movie.
He says, "I’d love to make a film. Just for posterity." But the British rocker may have to put his burning ambition to star on the big screen on hold for now - because he has yet to be approached with plans for a movie venture.

LATEST: LINDSAY LOHAN has hit back at reports alleging she was axed as the star of an upcoming biopic of murderer CHARLES MANSON, insisting she turned down the role.
Internet reports surfaced earlier this week (begs05May08), claiming the 21-year-old was dropped from independent movie Manson Girls - Lohan’s first big screen role since 2007’s I Know Who Killed Me - because producers feared her wild ways could interrupt shooting.
But a representative for the star denies she has been dropped from the film, claiming she was too busy with other projects to commit to the project.
Spokesperson Leslie Sloane says, "Unfortunately (Manson Girls) didn’t come together quickly enough, and she was offered other roles, which she accepted and is looking forward to doing."

Actress ROSE McGOWAN is quietly praying for a summer (08) actor’s strike - so she can spend time at home with her sick dog.
The Grindhouse star recently learned her 11-year-old terrier, Fester, has a brain tumour and now all she wants to do is spend time with her beloved pooch.
She tells PlanetGossip.Eonline.com, "Five weeks ago he was jumping in the air." Ongoing talks between studio bosses and acting union officials are trying to resolve issues before a strike is necessary, but McGowan really wouldn’t mind a long summer break.
She adds, "I’ll get to spend more time with Fester." A possible strike will also give the actress the chance to rest up after smashing her leg.
Hobbling McGowan has been told she has to wear a leg brace for the next six weeks.
She reveals, "I had a fight with a wall, and the wall won. It sucks."

JEFF BRIDGES has a cherished photograph of the first time he spoke to his wife - thanks to an observant make-up man.
The Big Lebowski star was shooting Rancho Deluxe in Montana in 1975 when he fell for the waitress who was to become his wife.
But it took Bridges quite a while to pluck up the courage to ask the girl out - a moment that he never knew was caught on camera.
The actor says, "Cut to 15 years later, we’re married, and the make-up man from that movie sends me and old photograph of me talking to some local girl.
"He’d just come across it in his files; didn’t even know I was married. It was a photograph of the first words I ever uttered to my wife." Bridges and his wife Susan have been married since 1977.

U.S. President GEORGE W. BUSH’s daughter JENNA has married her longtime boyfriend HENRY HAGER.
The pair exchanged vows at sundown on Saturday (10May08) in a private ceremony held at President Bush’s secluded Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.
The couple - who announced their engagement last August (07) - wed in front of 200 guests at the ranch, including family, friends and White House staff.
Led down the aisle by her father George W. Bush, Jenna wore an Oscar de le Renta wedding gown, and was followed by her twin sister Barbara, who acted as the bride’s maid of honour.
In his weekly U.S. radio broadcast on the morning of the wedding day, President Bush told of his joy for his daughter’s marriage plans and looked forward to walking her down the aisle.
He stated, "This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the happy life ahead of (Jenna) and her husband, Henry.
"It’s also a special time for Laura (his wife), who this Mother’s Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle." Hager, whose father is a prominent Virginian Republican, also celebrated another milestone over his wedding weekend - he turned 30 on Friday (09May08).
Jenna became the first sitting president’s child in 16 years to marry - the last being her aunt Dorothy Koch, daughter of her grandfather President George.
H. W. Bush, who was married at Camp David in 1992.
The newlyweds will be based in Baltimore, Maryland, where Hager will begin work for an energy company after completing his business degree. Jenna, 25, will continue with her career as a teacher, reports People.com.

Soul legend AL GREEN had to turn down the chance to record a duets album, because too many people wanted to join him in the studio.
The Let’s Stay Together singer toyed with the idea of re-recording his hits with today’s stars after his last album, but quickly discovered almost everyone was keen to take part.
He says, "I was sitting on the bed in my pyjamas with the publicity president at (record label) Blue Note and we were talking about doing a duet album.
"But there was just so many people wanting to duet that there was too many to duet with." Instead, Green hit the studio with the Roots drummer Ahmir `?uestlove’ Thompson and singers John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae to record his new album Lay It Down.

A theatre musical based on the songs of THE BEE GEES is to be created for Broadway and London’s West End.
Robin Gibb announced the stage show on Saturday (10May08), when he accepted a plaque for the band’s contribution to the music industry . The musical is set to include all the disco trio’s hits, including Stayin’ Alive and Jive Talkin’.
According to Gibb, the project could be ready for the stage in the next 12-16 months.

BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL’s mother has advised her jailed son to divorce AMY WINEHOUSE, insisting he would be "crazy" to reunite with the troubled star once he is released from prison.
Last month (Apr08), the Rehab hitmaker denied reports her marriage is in trouble after she had allegedly fallen for her manager’s assistant Alex Haynes.
Fielder-Civil, who is currently behind bars in London’s Pentonville Prison, was also said to have developed a close relationship with pal Sarah Thomas, after receiving frequent visits from her.
And Fielder-Civil’s mother, Georgette, is convinced her son should part ways with 24-year-old Winehouse - and plan a future with office receptionist Thomas.
She tells British newspaper News Of The World, "I’ve told him he should divorce Amy now and start a new life with Sarah.
"She’s his best buddy and has been extremely supportive. Amy’s a mess. I’ve told him if he goes back to her she will lead him to an early grave." Fielder-Civil, 25, has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice after allegedly attempting to fix the outcome of a previous trial for grievous bodily harm. He will stand trial for the latest charges in June

Singer CARRIE UNDERWOOD is the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry after joining the country music mecca this weekend (begs10May08).
Underwood, 25, was formally inducted into the cast of the long-running music show on Saturday (10May08), when she was presented with an induction award - a 14-inch bronze replica of an Opry mic stand - from fellow Opry member Garth Brooks. She also sang a duet with country star Vince Gill.
Fighting back tears, she told the crowd: "This really seems like a great family to be part of. I promise I’ll do everything I possibly can to not make you regret it." Since winning American Idol in 2005, Underwood has scored six consecutive number ones on the U.S. country singles chart and sold 7 million copies of her debut album Some Hearts.
