GOLDBERG TO HOST TONY AWARDS
Comedienne WHOOPI GOLDBERG will host this year’s (08) Tony Awards ceremony in New York City.
The 52-year-old star will follow in the footsteps of former hosts Hugh Jackman and David Hyde Pierce when she takes to the stage at the 62nd annual theatre awards show next month (07June08) at the famous Radio City Music Hall.
She says of the honour, "I love Broadway, and I’m thrilled to be doing anything for the first time. I’m gonna have a blast."
