SIMPSON: ‘MY FILMS ARE NOT FLOPS’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:40 pm

JESSICA SIMPSON has taken aim at movie critics who call her films flops.
The pop star/actress insists box office sales show she’s actually a good luck charm for movies.
She protests, "For people to say (movie) Employee of The Month was a flop is ludicrous.
"It made the money back - that’s not a flop. For people to say The Dukes of Hazzard was a flop - it opened at $30 million.
"If these movies are flops, why would I still make them?" Unfortunately for Simpson, her last film, Major Movie Star, really was a flop - in America.
After opening in just eight cinemas in Texas in December (07), the film was released on DVD. It has since become an unexpected hit in Russia. (JMA/GLM/IG) WENN - SIXTH - HOLLYWOOD, SHOWBIZ & PEOPLE NEWS - 06 MAY 2008
