INJURIES ON BOND SET WON’T STOP STUNT-MAD CRAIG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:32 pm

British actor DANIEL CRAIG has vowed to ‘throw himself’ at stunts on the new JAMES BOND movie - despite a series of car accidents and injuries on set.
Filming for the latest spy thriller has been hit by a number of setbacks, the latest of which left a stuntman with serious head injuries after losing control of a vehicle and slamming into a wall in northern Italy last month (Apr08).
This followed yet another mishap when an Aston Martin sports car had to be fished out of Lake Garda, Italy after it skidded off a narrow road in torrential rain and plunged into the water.
But Craig, who stars in the movie as 007, insists he thrives on the physical elements of the film.
He says, "I’ve been sore. I’m sore everyday. I enjoy the physical outside of filming, I always have. I’ve thrown myself into it because I get a kick out of it and I think we can do things and we can achieve things that make the plot and make the storyline move forward.
"It’s much better if I stay involved with the filming as much as possible."

PARKER: ‘CATTRALL ROW MADE SEX MOVIE BETTER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:32 pm

SARAH JESSICA PARKER is glad SEX & THE CITY co-star KIM CATTRALL scuppered plans to make the movie when the show ended in 2004 - claiming they have a better film as a result.
Cattrall reportedly demanded more money and creative control, forcing a stalemate with producers who were unwilling to consent.
But four years on, the two parties have successfully negotiated terms and the Sex & The City Movie is now about to hit cinemas.
Parker refused to speak out about the row at the time, but insists Cattrall had every right to ask for more cash and control.
She says, "If I had thought it was any of my business at the time, what I would have said is, ‘Isn’t it OK for Kim to think that the money wasn’t right?’" And she insists the movie is better because of the four year time gap: "Perhaps she (Cattrall) was some kind of emotional psychic, because this way we made a better movie."

POLANSKI CRIME RE-LIVED IN NEW DOCUMENTARY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:29 pm

A new documentary about ROMAN POLANSKI re-examines the rape charges the filmmaker pleaded guilty to 30 years ago.
The Oscar winner admitted the statutory rape of 13 year old Samantha Geimer in 1978, but fled to Paris before he could be sentenced.
Polanski, 74, has avoided prison by remaining in the French capital ever since, where he has been granted citizenship.
Director Marina Zenovich has spent five years tracing every aspect of the case for Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, which she hopes will shed new light on Polanski’s crime.
The film is due to be screened in New York on Monday (5May08), and televised in the U.S. next month (Jun08).
She says, "In 2003, talk of his winning an Oscar (for The Pianist) and whether he’d risk coming to accept it started me thinking about this case because nobody knew exactly what happened.
"Fearing sensationalism, nobody would talk to me. It took five years.
Eventually those involved realised I had good intentions and just wanted to tell the story.
"I met the girl’s lawyer and then Samantha Geimer, the girl herself. Why she consented, I don’t know. Even her mother talked to me. Now blonde, clear-eyed, 45, with three kids, Samantha lives in Hawaii and she basically has forgiven (Polanski).".

RICHARDS FIRED NANNY OVER CHARLIE COMMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:26 pm

Actress DENISE RICHARDS fired her nanny because she spoke ill of her ex-husband in front of the couple’s young daughters.
Despite the former Bond girl’s bitter divorce and custody battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, she insists no one in her employ speaks critically about her girls’ father when they’re in earshot.
Richards says, "I actually fired a nanny once, for bashing Charlie in front of the girls.
"Charlie is their dad, so if I insult their father it’s an insult to them. I don’t want them ever to feel torn between the two of us." Richards only regrets the former couple can no longer be friends.
She tells Redbook magazine, "Charlie is truly a stranger to me, and that’s the really sad part.
"I know many people who have gotten divorced and remained good friends, and I envy that because it’s obviously much healthier for the kids than our situation.
"But I’ve always tried to handle this respectfully. If you go back and try to dig up quotes about what I’ve said, there’s not a lot out there."

We’re dying to do it." McKay insists the only thing that will scupper sequel plans will be if he and Ferrell cannot bring the original cast back.
He adds, "That’s always kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with that cast we’re all friends, so yeah, we want to do it."

BROWN TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM DESPITE LEGAL WOES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:20 pm

Troubled rapper FOXY BROWN is making the most of her bad publicity following her recent jail spell and ongoing legal woes by releasing a new album.
Her Brooklyn’s Don Diva is to hit stores next week (13May08) less than a month after Brown, real name Inga Marchand, was released from New York’s Riker’s Island prison, where she served eight months for probation violations.
But she might not be a free woman when the new release hits stores - a New York judge has issued a warrant for her arrest, after she failed to turn up to court to face allegations of assault, in relation to an incident last year (07).
Brown is accused of hitting 25-year-old Arlene Raymond with her Blackberry cell phone in Brooklyn on 30 July (07), when a heated argument between the two got out of hand.
Raymond was taken to Brooklyn Hospital following the incident, and was treated for loose teeth and swelling around her lip and right eye.
Brown was subsequently charged with felony assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon when she turned herself into police. She was released on bail and pleaded not guilty to the counts in October (07).
But Brown failed to show for her latest court date at Brooklyn Criminal Court on Monday (05May08), and, as a result, a judge has called for the star’s arrest.

BARTON BATTLES WITH SNAPPER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:50 pm

MISCHA BARTON has kickstarted a bitter war of words with a paparazzo who snapped her sunbathing topless in Australia.
Barton, 22, is furious images taken by Jamie Fawcett have appeared in an Australian magazine and online. Several snaps show her topless and with cellulite on her thighs.
And the actress has accused Fawcett of disrupting her vacation with her mother Nuala on Hamilton Island, off Australia’s East Coast.
She says, "He’s a ridiculous human being. I’ve never abhorred anyone more. I was so angry, I went up to him and said how disappointed I was with his behaviour. He apologised but he was very insincere." But Fawcett claims he warned Barton about stripping off before he had even captured her on film - and insists she could have found a private spot to seek an all-over tan.
He tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "We spoke to each other on the island, and that’s when I showed her my camera and I hadn’t taken any shots of her topless.
"I did warn her it was a public place, and if she wanted privacy she shouldn’t be there.
"I’m not a perv, and I didn’t intentionally mean to embarrass her. I don’t just set out and start my day thinking I want to get any celebrity topless." Barton isn’t the first celebrity to clash with Fawcett; in 2005 he was accused by a newspaper of planting listening devices in Nicole Kidman’s Sydney home.
In February this year (08) he lost a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper, after Kidman told a court she feared for her life after being pursued by him - and was forced to employ round-the-clock security for her and her family as a result.
