JENNIFER ANISTON is following in the footsteps of environmentally-conscious actress JULIA ROBERTS by building an eco-friendly home, according to reports.
Roberts will become Aniston’s new neighbour when construction is completed on the Malibu, California mansion, which will boast a solar heating system, drought-resistant plants and organically-made building materials in addition to its ocean view.
A source tells U.S. magazine Star, "Jen (Aniston) wants to help the environment and she has the money."

Spanish star JAVIER BARDEM has been forced to withdraw from movie musical NINE, citing exhaustion. The Oscar winner pulled out of the movie - based on the Broadway hit - due to a hectic work schedule, reports Variety.
It is the second recent project the actor has left - he was originally cast in Francis Ford Coppola’s drama Tetro, but was replaced by actress Carmen Maura.

Actress/model ANGIE EVERHART has been charged with drunk driving in Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old was arrested on 24 April (08) after failing a sobriety test just days after splitting with longterm love Joe Pesci.
On Thursday (01May08), Everhart was charged with one count of driving under the influence and has been ordered to appear in court on 15 May (08).
Last week (ends25Apr08), Pesci ended his engagement to Everhart, nine months after proposing. The couple had been together for seven years.

Chilean soap star CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE has been accused of running over a man at a car dealership in California.
De La Fuente- who is currently taking a break from Dancing With The Stars following an injury - is being sued over the incident at a Beverly Hills Porsche dealership in June last year (07).
According to the lawsuit, which is due to be filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (01May08), De La Fuente parked his car in the service department, but after blocking other customers, was asked to move it.
The lawsuit claims De La Fuente "in a huff, jumped in his Audi and without looking, hastily put his vehicle into reverse and accelerated into the Plaintiff." Kazuo Kimura claims he was "knocked to the ground and sustained serious injuries for which surgical intervention has been recommended." The suit claims de la Fuente "showed no remorse" and "blamed the plaintiff for standing behind his vehicle and then refused to provide his license and insurance information", reports TMZ.com A spokesman for De La Fuente was unavailable.

ROB LOWE’s wife SHERYL has been accused of making racist and obscene comments to the family’s former nanny about her black boyfriend’s penis.
Laura Boyce filed a lawsuit on Wednesday (30Apr08) accusing Sheryl of sexual harassment and wrongful termination, insisting she created an "extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment … behaving in a …
perverted, disgusting and crude manner".
On Thursday (01May08) details of the lawsuit emerged.
Boyce claims an enraged Sheryl screamed at her that she "got strep throat from sucking n**ger d**k. I mean black d**k".
She further claims Sheryl used to constantly ask Boyce about the size of her boyfriend - reportedly NBA star Dale Davis’ - penis and would often walk around the house naked.
The lawsuit also alleges Sheryl once told Boyce "her husband’s (Rob) cockrings were broken", spoke about the couple’s sex life and talked openly about the size of her children’s penises.
Boyce is the second nanny to launch legal action against the family.
Former childminder Jessica Gibson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Rob Lowe last month (Apr08), alleging he touched her inappropriately on several occasions between September 2005 and January 2008.
Lowe’s attorney Larry Stein has slammed the new allegations, accusing Boyce’s lawyer Gloria Allred - who also represents Gibson - of "dragging (Lowe’s) wife and children into the fray".
He says, "In response to a lawsuit against Laura Boyce by the Lowes, Ms.
Allred filed a cross-complaint on behalf of Boyce, which contains false allegations, in an apparent attempt to divert the negative publicity which Allred’s client, Gibson, has universally received.
"Although framed as a sexual harassment claim against both Sheryl and Rob Lowe, the cross-complaint alleges only words by Sheryl and never mentions any words or conduct by Rob whatsoever. The alleged statements by Sheryl are totally unrelated to, and do not provide any support for, Gibson’s claim against Rob."

THE SUPREMES singer MARY WILSON has recalled how she was once ridiculed for her style by late BEATLE GEORGE HARRISON.
The Baby Love hitmaker met up with the group at a 1960s event in New York, but failed to impress them with her fashion choices.
She explains, " We thought it was going to be a formal affair like a cocktail party, so we were all very elegantly dresses in fur coats, gloves and hats. As soon as we got there, we realised it wasn’t formal at all. There were just a load of people milling around and standing in corners, so we left pretty quickly.
"Later, George Harrison said, ‘We expected these three black girls to be hip but they came in looking like Jackie Onassis.’"

LATEST: AMERICAN IDOL judge PAULA ABDUL has fiercely denied she was drunk when she made an embarrassing blunder on the hit reality TV show on Tuesday (29Apr08).
The singer was blasted by American gossip website TMZ.com, which accused the singer of being under the influence of alcohol when she was caught out by a change to the judging format of the show.
When asked to appraise first performer Jason Castro, Abdul gave her opinions on two performances - even though each singer had only sung once.
The website had claimed she was "bubbly" after "at least one martini" at a lunch at Maggiano’s restaurant in Los Angeles four hours before the show began.
But Abdul brands the claims "absolutely not true" saying, "It got very confusing.
"The producers come up to us in the dark and said, ‘We are not going to have you guys judge after each performer, we are going to have all the performers go once, then twice and at the end critique them.’"

KELLY ROWLAND was inspired to pursue a career in singing after watching WHITNEY HOUSTON perform in a red dress.
The Destiny’s Child singer went to see the legendary pop star in concert with her mum Doris and was in awe of the stage outfit she was wearing.

ROBERT DE NIRO is expanding his business empire with a new chain of Japanese-themed hotels.
It will be the latest of his Nobu ventures, and follows a string of Japanese restaurants around the world - a partnership with chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Richie Notar.
The first Nobu hotel will open in the Israeli resort of Herzliya this summer (08), followed by one in New York’s financial district over the next two-to-four years.
Notar jokes of the new hotel, which will have a Japanese flavour throughout, "Instead of a mint on the pillow, you could find a sushi roll." De Niro’s son Raphael, who is in charge of marketing the properties, adds, "It’s really exciting for us."

Actress MEGAN FOX has reportedly been banned from a supermarket in her hometown - after she was caught shoplifting there as a child.
The National Enquirer claims 21-year-old Fox was caught stealing make-up from a Florida branch of the Wal-Mart during her rebellious teenage years.
And the incident has now seen her banned from the store.
A friend of the star tells the tabloid, "Megan (Fox) was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers.
"She would pocket things like candy and gum from convenience stores, but Megan’s shoplifting days were quickly put to an end when she got busted for heisting a $7 tube of lipgloss from Wal-Mart.
"At first, Megan denied it. Even after they told her they caught her on surveillance video, Megan still tried talking her way out of it. But when they threatened to call the police, Megan broke down in tears and confessed." When approached for comment, Fox’s spokesperson refused to confirm or deny the claim.

GREY’S ANATOMY star JUSTIN CHAMBERS is finally getting a good night’s sleep after battling with a biological sleep disorder.
The actor checked himself into Los Angeles’ UCLA Medical Center in January (08) for treatment after a period of getting only one hour of sleep each week.
But now Chambers, 37, is now able to go through a whole night of undisturbed sleep after practicing the ancient art of Bikram yoga.
He tells Usmagazine, "I’m doing really good - I’m actually sleeping. I am really enjoying life "(Bikram Yoga) is where you sit in a 104-degree room, and you stretch for an hour-and-a-half, I swear by it - it’s incredible."

Former American basketball star DENNIS RODMAN has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery.
The former husband of Carmen Electra was arrested on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend during an incident at Los Angeles’ Century City hotel on Wednesday (30Apr08).
The 46-year-old was released on Thursday (01May08) morning on $50,000 (£25,000) bail.
A spokesman for the star tells website TMZ.com the incident was alcohol induced.
The representative says, "Last night Dennis and his girlfriend had too much to drink. When they returned to their hotel they started arguing and a minor altercation broke out where Dennis grabbed her by the arm and left a bruise.
"His drinking has been escalating in the last six weeks due to a nasty divorce (from Michelle Moyer) and not seeing his children in over two months." The website is reporting that Rodman is planning on a stint in rehab in Florida following the incident.
