FRANCIS OFFERS DUPRE $1 MILLION SETTLEMENT
GIRLS GONE WILD founder JOE FRANCIS has offered call-girl ASHLEY DUPRE $1 million (£500,000) to drop a lawsuit against him - and wants her to take up a job with his company.
Ashley Dupre is seeking more than $10 million (£5 million) in damages in a lawsuit filed on Monday (28Apr08).
Dupre alleges that Girls Gone Wild representatives approached her while she was vacationing in Florida in 2003 and offered her alcohol before encouraging her to expose her breasts for their cameras when she was just 17.
The suit claims Girls Gone Wild has illegally exploited Dupre’s name, picture, voice and likeness in a number of deceptive ad campaigns and on websites.
On Tuesday (29Apr08), Francis offered her $1 million to drop the case because he thinks she has "zero" chance of winning the suit - and has even offered the aspiring songstress the opportunity to work with him hosting Girls Gone Wild events.
He tells The New York Daily News, "It is incomprehensible that Ms. Dupre could claim she did not give her consent to be filmed by Girls Gone Wild, when … we have videotape of her giving consent."
