McCARTNEY WORTH $1 BILLION
SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is worth $1 billion (£500 million) - $200 million (£100 million) richer than his divorce hearing was told, according to a new rich list.
The former Beatle was estimated to be worth $800 million (£400 million), according to documents filed at London’s High Court during his divorce to Heather Mills. However, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, the court undervalued Sir Paul’s back catalogue, image rights and recordings. It also failed to take into account the will of his first wife, Linda, who died in 1998. The list puts his true wealth at $1 billion.
A spokesman for McCartney declined to comment on the list, which will be published on Sunday (27Apr08).
