JOAN COLLINS spends more and more time in New York because she hates the litter-strewn streets of her native London.
The 75-year-old diva admits graffiti and litter offend her "aesthetics and sensibilities" and she’d rather not have to deal with it on a daily basis.
But the fussy Brit has found another pet peeve in her adopted America plastic bags.
She fumes, "They take 1,000 years to disintegrate (and) seals get them caught in their bellies." Environmentally-conscious Collins, who insists on bagging her own groceries, admits her hatred for litter and discarded shopping bags, which she calls a "tragedy of modern life," comes from her youth.
She explains, "Growing up, if I so much as threw a candy wrapper on the floor, my family would give me a pilling off."
