CHAPPELLE SUED BY FORMER MANAGER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:50 pm

Comedian DAVE CHAPPELLE is facing legal action from his former manager, after accusing the star of failing to pay a settlement from a previous court battle.
Mustafa Abuelhija took Chappelle to court in 2005, accusing the funnyman of wrongful termination after he was abruptly fired.
Chappelle agreed to settle the dispute by giving Abuelhija 10 per cent of the profits from his 2005 documentary film Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, and 10 per cent of the money made from seasons two, three and four of hit TV programme Chappelle’s Show and comedy special For What It’s Worth.
But Abuelhija has now filed suit against Chappelle again at a New York district court - claiming the star has failed to pay him any of the money owed.
He is seeking a minimum of $75,000 (£37,500) in damages, according to TMZ.com.
