JANET JACKSON has a crush on ALICIA KEYS.
The pop superstar has been dogged by rumours she’s gay and bisexual for years and she admits she no longer cares.
But, if she had to choose a female mate, she’d pick Fallin’ hitmaker Keys.
She says, "I would pick Alicia Keys, for sure. I think she’s wonderful." And, if she could pick out her next life, Jackson insists she’d come back as a man - and date a sex-changed Jermaine Dupri, her current partner.
She tells Eonline.com, "In my next life I’m going to come back as a guy and he’s going to be my bitch." Jackson is thrilled about her upcoming GLAAD Vanguard Award honour - because she’s convinced it comes at a time when gay acceptance is better than ever.
The pop superstar will be honoured for her work as a gay rights advocate at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s 19th Annual Media Awards in Hollywood on Saturday (26Apr08).
She tells Eonline.com, "You still have discrimination. It’s sad. It really is.
But, I think, slowly but surely, it’s getting better."

JANET JACKSON still regrets missing out on saying goodbye to a dear friend who lost his life to AIDS.
The pop star and gay rights advocate admits she still hurts every time she remembers former make-up artist Jose - because she didn’t get the opportunity to tell him what he meant to her before he died.
The singer says, "I lost a lot of friends to AIDS and one who I absolutely adored so much. His name was Jose, and we worked a lot together in Europe.
"He would put these eyelashes on me that he would make from real hair. His sister would cut her hair so he could make these eyelashes. They were the most beautiful things. He was so much fun to be with.
"I had heard he was sick and he was passing, and it was just so sad. I didn’t have the opportunity to (talk to him before he died). That part really hurts, when you’re trying to reach someone before (they die)."

Actress SANDRA BULLOCK is doing her bit to save the environment, by launching a range of eco-friendly candles.
The actress unveiled her wax creations on an episode of Oprah Winfrey’s talk show, which aired on Tuesday (22Apr08) - Earth Day in the U.S.
She revealed how she developed the line of candles using soy wax, after learning all about the chemicals that are normally used in their production.
She explained, "I started researching and you find out about lead wicks and chemicals in your candles. (Soy wax) is a renewable resource." And Bullock is so happy with her new hobby, she joked that it could provide her with a second career: "(It’s) something to fall back on."

DANIEL RADCLIFFE has hit out at the "moral outrage" his forthcoming naked performance on Broadway has attracted - accusing critics of double standards.
The Harry Potter star is angry he’s hitting the headlines for posing nude in Equus, and the play isn’t getting the coverage it deserves.
The teenager, who will disrobe on Broadway later this year (08) - just as he did onstage in London when the play opened there in 2007 - fumes, "There was a sense of moral outrage when it was announced I would be naked.
"I don’t understand it because it’s just a character. No one actually minded that he (character) blinds six horses. It’s a bit of a dose of double standards, which aggravated me slightly." Peter Shafer’s play is about a boy who abuses animals.

TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES filled a rented Hollywood Hills home with $17,000 (GBP8,500) worth of fresh flowers and spent almost $5,000 (GBP2,500) on cakes for daughter SURI’s second birthday bash on Saturday (19Apr08).
The couple ordered personalised cakes from Los Angeles’ Sweet Lady Jane bakery for all 24 guests, and a four-tiered treat was served up to the birthday girl.
Cruise also ordered $230 (GBP115) worth of cupcakes from LA bakery Sprinkles wife Holmes’ favourite cake shop.
Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck catered the event, according to In Touch magazine. He also took charge of a later party for the Cruises’ famous friends like Victoria Beckham, who also celebrated a birthday last week (17Apr08) and Will Smith.

Directors WERNER HERZOG, WIM WENDERS and PAUL SCHRADER have signed on to judge a series of internet movie contests designed to take amateur filmmakers’ work to the big screen.
The idea is the brainchild of TV executive Sandy Grushow and Hollywood producer Deepak Nayar.
The pair is inviting aspiring filmmakers to send three minute short films to Filmaka.com.
A panel including Herzog, Wenders and Schrader will judge the contests - and the winners will get a film produced by Grushow and Nayar, with a $2 million to $3 million (£1 million to £1.5 million) budget.
Wannabe TV writers also have the opportunity to create small screen pilots through the site, reports Variety.

British actor COLIN FIRTH insists MAMMA MIA moviemakers only have themselves to blame if the big-screen adaptation of the stage musical flops - because they gave him his role without hearing him sing.
Firth and co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Stellan Skarsgard all hit the high notes in the movie, which features a soundtrack by Swedish pop legends ABBA.
None of the acting trio are singers - so Firth is keeping his fingers crossed their voices don’t kill the movie.
He says, "They didn’t audition me to sing. They didn’t audition Pierce Brosnan to sing. Or Stellan Skarsgard. So they get whatever they deserved as far as I’m concerned."

Scottish hunk GERARD BUTLER’s rumoured new girlfriend has spoken out about their relationship, insisting they’re just good neighbours.
Professional dancer Cheryl Burke, who is a regular on U.S. reality TV contest Dancing With The Stars, insists there’s no romance between her and the 300 star, who lives in her apartment block in Los Angeles.

JOAN COLLINS spends more and more time in New York because she hates the litter-strewn streets of her native London.
The 75-year-old diva admits graffiti and litter offend her "aesthetics and sensibilities" and she’d rather not have to deal with it on a daily basis.

Martial arts movie star JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME is in talks to reprise his character in the UNIVERSAL SOLDIER franchise for a fourth film.
The Belgian action man starred in the first two hit films, but wasn’t part of 1998 flop Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business.
Movie news website CinemaBlend.com reports Van Damme’s old movie enemy Dolph Lundgren is also in negotiations for the new film.
The two European movie stars teamed up in the original Universal Soldier in 1992.

Former 2 LIVE CREW star LUTHER CAMPBELL has become the latest rapper to launch a reality TV career, after landing his own show.
The Florida rapper, 47, will star in Luke’s Parental Advisory on cable channel VH1.
The new series focuses on Campbell’s busy life as a father to two teenagers and businessman, while planning his upcoming wedding.
Campbell hopes the show, which will launch in America this summer (08), will help to prove there’s more to him than the tough-talking 2 Live Crew hype man.
He says, "Until now, people have known me for my entrepreneurialism (sic) in the rap music industry. Now, they’ll see me applying my skills as the first hip-hop artist to take a company public, taking the multi-billion dollar business of hip-hop to the next level." Campbell joins Flavor Flav, Salt N’ Pepa, Da Brat and Diddy among the other rap stars who have found fame as reality TV stars.

Rapper REMY MA will have to wait another three weeks to find out if she faces a lengthy prison spell after sentencing in her shooting case was postponed on Tuesday (22Apr08).
The hitmaker, real name Remy Smith, is accused of shooting an acquaintance and is currently being held without bail at Rikers Island prison in New York until her sentencing.
Rikers Island is the prison fellow rap star Foxy Brown was released from after serving eight months of a year-long sentence for probation violations on Friday (18Apr08).
Remy Ma’s trial, which was scheduled for Wednesday (23Apr08), will now take place on 13 May (08), to give her lawyer, Ivan Fisher, more time to prepare "a sentencing submission".
The rapper was convicted in March (08) of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion for shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph in the abdomen.
The 26 year old faces a 25-year prison sentence if she’s found guilty of all charges.

Canadian singer kd lang has infuriated Australian officials, after she was given an unauthorised police escort for a trip through Melbourne at the weekend (18-20Apr08).
The star, who is currently Down Under promoting her new album Watershed, was running late for a TV performance on Sunday (20Apr08) because her flight had been delayed. But a helpful cop came to her rescue and gave her V.I.P.
treatment, escorting her from a Melbourne airport to the television studio.
The policeman has now been reprimanded by senior officials - including state government leader John Brumby - for his "completely inappropriate" behaviour.
Brumby insists such escorts are only reserved for visiting heads of state and other dignitaries.
Assistant commissioner Ken Lay says, "I’m very disappointed with the decision to do this, it’s not something that we condone and it’s a very poor use of resources." Lay claims lang was given the police escort in a deal brokered with the cop by an employee of the TV show she was appearing on.

To mark Earth Day (22Apr08), Billboard magazine editors have crowned surf-rocker JACK JOHNSON the most environmentally-sound person in music.
In an online Music Goes Green special, Johnson has beaten Willie Nelson and Mexican band Mana to the title of greenest musician.
Billboard bosses cite the mellow singer/songwriter’s efforts to be as environmentally-conscious as possible in his recording and touring ventures.
They note that the Los Angeles headquarters of Johnson’s Brushfire Records is "a cozy single-family home", which features a recording studio insulated with used denim and "powered in part by solar panels located on the roof".
Johnson also works tirelessly for non-profit charity the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, which supports environmental education in his native Hawaii.

INDIANA JONES actor SHIA LaBEOUF has laughed off reports he dated RIHANNA earlier this year (07), insisting he is having too much fun to commit to one woman.
LaBeouf was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with the chart princess, prompting rumours they were an item.
The actor refuses to deny the pair were ever romantically entangled - but insists he is at the peak of his dating prowess, and has no intention of settling down with one girl.
He says, "I’m just dating and messing around. I’m 21 years old, (so I’m) doing the 21-year-old thing." But LaBeouf is quick to dismiss the suggestion he is jumping into bed with different girls each week: "There have been real innocent dates. BON JOVI star RICHIE SAMBORA has been charged with two misdemeanour counts of driving under the influence (DUI) - but has reportedly escaped a charge of child endangerment.
The rocker’s 10-year-old daughter and her cousin were passengers in his vehicle when Sambora was arrested for drink-driving last month (Mar08), and officers at Laguna Beach Police in California wanted prosecutors to get tough with him.
But, according to TMZ.com, law enforcement sources have revealed that the Orange County District Attorney has just chosen to charge Sambora with DUI and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher, after disagreeing with the arresting officers.
Sambora is now facing up to six months in jail, if he is convicted of the charges. His arraignment is set for 7 May (08).

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star EVA LONGORIA PARKER has refuted reports she is to quit the hit TV show in a bid to pursue her burgeoning movie career.
The 33-year-old has made several high profile films since shooting to fame on the drama series - including Harsh Times with Christian Bale in 2007 and this year’s (08) Over My Dead Body.
But Longoria Parker is quick to dismiss rumours she is to leave Desperate Housewives to become a full-time Hollywood star.
She tells British magazine Heat, "I would be insane to do that. I’m of the opinion that the show will still be running for another five years, at least.
Marc Cherry (creator) has all these incredible ideas and plot twists planned for the coming years, and I’m convinced the show will be a success as long as he’s involved."
